Wow, lots of judgment here. For some people, weddings just aren't that exciting and not being over the moon about it isn't abnormal. I've been happily married for 14 years now, but the wedding? Eh. Another social occasion to get over with so you can get to the good part.

I think your attitude is rare, but completely refreshing. Way too many people get caught up in the idea of the ONE PERFECT DAY, and they spend so much time and energy on that, and seem to forget that the marriage is much more important than the wedding and it (hopefully) lasts a hell of a lot longer. Wedding =/= marriage. You can loathe having to go through a wedding ceremony and all that shit and still want to be married to someone.
Weddings are stressful. Most people want no ceremony and party at all, but are forced to have it because ~tradition~.

When my wife and I got married we just went to the registry office in fancy attire (we didn't buy new clothes for it, though) and afterwards had a dinner with our respective parents - tadaa.
If OP is anything like my wife and I, I totally get them.

Agreed. Jesus Christ, maybe OP is just not really into weddings????? I am head-over-heels for my fiance and would love to just be married, but am I excited for the inevitable wedding? Fuck no. The wedding in itself is just for my fiance's family, who are conservative. If it were up to me, we'd just go to the court house.

A little context: This show wasn't expecting to have further seasons because it officially ended after season 7. Recently, the three actors pictured made an announcement that they'd purchased the rights to the series and were going to start filming season 8, to be broadcast online. I was surprised and pleased when I heard it, but if you're a huge fan I can see why you might be ecstatic about it like the OP probably is.

Oh yeah, and a biiiiiiig /eyeroll to everyone who assumes that because you're not breathless with excitement over your wedding it means you're doomed and should reassess your life and your choices, etc. etc.
