It's 4am and I haven't slept because I stayed up to catch up with a friend who'd just come back from an Internet hiatus. We heard each other's voices and saw each other's faces on Skype for the first time today! And tomorrow I'm not due for anything except to pick my dad up from the airport at 4, so maybe I'll stay up a little while longer and then pass out til then.

ETA: Oh my God I just heard the cockerel crow. I think that's my cue to sleep.

Also, I'm watching the adaptation with Ronald Howard, and his Holmes is amazing, as is Howard Marion Crawford's Watson. Naive though the plots and some of the filming techniques might be, I think this production is genuinely better than the Rathbone-Bruce one.

Read some books about the Red Orchestra, ate cookies with chocolate, devised a cipher.

I just got out of A&E this morning.

Went in yesterday afternoon with suspect heart problems and they kept me overnight.

Found out after a whole battery of tests (five separate blood tests, hooked up to saline, multiple ECGs and other tests where they hooked up dozens of wires to me which is pretty cool) I'm almost certainly fine, but that's not great.

They think it's just a combination of stress, and overworking myself at the gym (I hit it like I still had the fitness and strength of my Uni days), but they still want me to do a 24 hour ECG to be sure.

I ate way too veggies just now, and I'm already regretting it.

I'm stuck on several fics I've been working on for a while, so I've started writing some other fic idea that won't leave me alone. I want to finish something dammit!

I'm being mean to my kitty, because he's so cute when he's not paying attention and I poke him. He just meows and looks around all confused, then decided he doesn't care and wants me to pet him.

I'm also rereading the Science of Discworld books! ♥

A bit tired and fighting off a cold. Drank some new chocolate chai tea, which was amazing ♥ Also trying to finish my triple book collection of Legend of Eli Monpress and not be distracted by video games.

Had way too much fun with Animal Crossing earlier, prepped some fabric for marathon sewing later, then went out to run errands. Did not find the specific thrift store find I was hoping for to enhance my cosplay project, but did find the Barenaked Ladies' "Gordon" on CD for $3, which was awesome because for some reason I had never gotten around to buying it.

Then my health crashed and I'm feeling too crappy for the marathon sewing I had planned, or really anything but lying in bed writhing in discomfort. But after I lie here writhing for awhile, I will hopefully recover enough to do the sewing, and/or the other cosplay-related stuff that was on my agenda for the day.

And there will be a ball game to listen to tonight - I was sort of upset about the Tigers being down 3-2 and needing to win the next two games to advance to the World Series, until I realized that Scherzer and Verlander would be pitching those two games. Now I'm mostly okay with it. :D

today has been a good day. One of my distant cousins is having a baby so my mom and I went to Target to buy stuff off of her registry for her baby shower. Before that I had a good workout in yoga this morning.

Now I'm just relaxing, catching up on TV, reading, and knitting a bit.

Beef uploaded a new Kingdom Hearts video so I'm pretty happy. I was afraid he would drop it after reading all those comments about how much he sucks at the game.

Good, I am a bit tired though, but that is probably because I have a major lack of both Vitamin B and D (and probably more, I will figure that out the next time I can be arsed to go to the Doctor), other than that I have spent the day doing nothing, except talk to my SO on the phone for a couple of hours and I am currently baking brownies (Because I am an adult and if I want cake I will make cake!)

Just got home from work, which seem to have gone by fast for 7 hours, so I'm happy (and I don't go back in until Thursday).

Unfortunately Yahoo hasn't bee loading any emails.

I'm visiting my boyfriend for the weekend and we're watching some random TV/movies. Nothing much but it's relaxing.

I cleaned and now I'm hanging up clothes and I played with pets and now I'm going to go drink some wine and play pokemon while said pets run around my feet (and get used to harnesses so they can go outside) so yay productive day!

Also I was mildly frustrated anon a few days ago and my con friends were too busy having their photos taken to bother me over cosplaying so that was good. I became designated bag holder but that was cool. All the kids liking their costumes were cute but the creepy guys and youtube video interview people have convinced me I don't want to cosplay XD Maybe something in a mask but eh, disinterested in anything but admiring cosplays myself. Bought a bunch of art books and some comics :D

They turned out really cool-looking and taste delicious, but damned if they didn't take a lot longer than I anticipated.

Not bad! Today turned out ridiculously more productive than I anticipated, and I'm wondering where I got all my energy, and if I'm going to go back to feeling normal.

I made three dishes today, including a beef/bacon pie, from scratch, and I think it took me something like 4 hours in total. And yet I'm not tired, and feeling vaguely restless.

Oh, and I cleaned the kitchen. Twice. D:

celebrated my birthday with the family...it was really quite nice. (although I wish I hadn't picked a Mexican restaurant to go out to-my poor stomaaaaach) All of my siblings were there, and I got nice stuff from them.

Really what was more meaningful than stuff was just the niceness everywhere and having them there close. I just miss having them around and the days when we were children so much. I know I'm probably going to feel blue when they leave tomorrow so I'll distract myself with Legend of Korra tomorrow evening.

...I'm 24....*sigh*.....I don't know what to make of it.
