29. I didn't know this existed! Sounds fun. I myself am in art school, but I love it. I have an amazing group of friends, I'm learning a lot, and my school's mission is to get me a job rather than be some pompous art place. Now if I watch that I wonder if I'll be comparing it to me and my friends. Good luck finding an awesome art school, by the way! I got to SCAD. People love it, people hate it. *shrug* It's working quite well for me.

36. You really made me want to watch this now. I felt like that for so long, and sometimes it still comes back at me. However, someone already talked about getting out there and doing it for yourself. That's what I'm doing now, and I gotta say it feels like I've found my Wonderland. Good luck to you on finding your own.

41. I'm exactly the same way. Maybe it's because the characters can never just die. Their deaths at times are rather drawn out. You get to see the incredible suffering of ALL their friends. And you usually know some huge sacrifice they've made that makes their death even more depressing.

I honestly can't think of anything in particular. Whether it's set during the series, afterwards, alternate-universe... Romantic, platonic, antagonistic... Anything VGAi would make me wibble in glee. GLEE, I say. Especially if it's Ai and Yota. ♥

8) Fuuma is made of infinite amounts of awesome. I love X, it's one of my favorites, but I can understand how it would be hard to get into a series. The problem with a series with so many characters is that some characters will get more development than others. I still hope that Clamp finishes it one day, but the likelihood of that happening is slim, sadly.

9) I love fics with UST and subtext. Fics about a pairing once they're together is just so... eh to me. Not as fun to read, really. I like the leading up to it better. Also, totally agree with the pairings name thing. Just spell out the character's names, people, don't mash them together or come up with a cutesy nickname for the ship. =/

10) Princess Peach love, ftw! ♥

40) That movie is so amazing. It's emotional and powerful; I can totally see why it changed your life. Don't be ashamed of that!

23. The Japanese really need to standardize some form of romanji for use by Westerners. The variations are many and confusing, and it need not be so.

17 - I'm sorry, I'm confused. They 'miss the point' of Aeon Flux? What's there to miss? It's fucking crazy, full stop. Apart from the commentary on class divisions and misuse of technology, there's not a set message that the creator was trying to convey. Considering it was shown on MTV, I don't think you can blame people for just viewing it as a fucked up cartoon - which, essentially, it is.

11) I don't know who you are, but I sure know who you're posting about. Lawl.

The Transformers fandom has had A LOT of ridiculous self-insert fanfiction popping up ever since the movie came out. Seriously, I'm sure you know if you're posting about it, but half of the things posted over at TF2007Fun are Mary Sue BS.

I blame it on the general age of the fandom suddenly dropping with the release of the movie, haha.

I have to admit I almost want to read that fic now - strictly for masochistic, train-wreck, rubbernecking purposes. I've sighted a lot of Mary-Sue's in the TF section of FF.net but not a sel-insert quite THAT blatant yet.

But then again, for good or bad, I tend to run from any story with 'OC' in the summary. I just want some nice Sam & Bee friendship fics with perhaps some Sam/Mikaela on the side.

4 - I kinda understand where you're coming from, but for me it's more that those rival-pairings like SasuNaru or Sephiroth/Cloud just get too big for their own good, and even if I started out really enjoying them they just get so "meh" after a while.

5 - OMG Integra is the sex, for serious. Hot and badass and I would totally do be her in an instant, even if I can't stand smoking.

20 - OrgXIII pairings give me a fucking headache. I mean, how the hell do you keep them all straight?
...........Obviously people don't, but that's beside the point.

23 - The kanji for it would properly be romanized "Yuuri," but a lot of times you see lengthened vowels shortened, especially if they're O or U, because of the different romanization systems.

31 - It's never as fun when it becomes canon. Never ever.

32 - It just pisses me off 'cause it seems like that's all they're doing lately. I mean... enough already, geez.
Squeenix is like an abusive lover; you're so sick of them, but you can't help coming back for more.

I agree with this more than I can express. The Square half has been letting me down so much lately (with the exception of XII. LOVE that game.) that I'm about ready to give up on them. Thankfully, Enix is still kicking ass. DQ9 for the DS is like a dream come true - my only annoyance is that it isn't out yet!

25. I say this not just to the OP of this secret, but to everyone who enjoys slashing their friends: please make sure your friends are okay with it. Chances are that they will either find the idea funny and cute...or they will think it's creepy and annoying. A guy I know insists upon including me and some other people I know in his monstrous body of work which includes webcomics and, unfortunately, badly-written porn. He's a pretty screwed-up guy in the first place so I try to be patient with him and haven't really expressed how much this bothers me, but not everyone is as lenient as I am.

Bottom line: be careful slashing your friends, it's a good way to lose them.

8. I think X gets idealized because it was never finished. I'm not saying it's bad (I don't like it, but I know in my case it's just personal taste, I don't like their more violent series in general) but I don't think it's their Absolute Best series either.

But they never finished it, and it turned to Legend status.
