6. I HATEHATEHATE just about anything AU in fandoms and I swore I would never join another RP again, but if someone made the community, I would actually consider joining it. Damn, I love that article. XD

25. I'll play just about any game. Fighting, stealth, RPGs, weird stuff, simulation, etc. But the ONE genre I CAN NOT stand are FPS games. I can stand third-person shooters, but not being able to see where my character is walking is infuriating to me. :\

But really, just be happy that gals are playing ANY games. The most annoying girls are the ones that associate anyone who plays video games = nerds. Trust me, I would know. -_-...

Psh. Way to pigeonhole people. Just because people have different preferences than you, doesn't make them any more or less of a gamer than you. It's really sad that you seriously buy into sexist stereotypes like that. People of all genders play RPGs. People of all genders play FPS games. It's a matter of preference. I'm sure most girls don't think "Hm, I have a pussy and boobs, so I might as well completely skip over this section at my game store and only go for JRPGS and Cooking Mama."

People play whatever the heck they want. It's a matter of preference, not of genitalia. It sucks that you and your friends are so judgmental over shit like that, but that's your prerogative.

25. Just to add to the wank. XD Alright so, OP. This all comes down to a matter of preference. I like all the "girly" gaming stuff, but I've been known to pwn boy gamers in SSBM and the like. I just happen to like RPGs more because frankly? FPS games are fucking boring as hell to me and I don't want to spend money and time to try and be a "serious" gamer. It all boils down to the fact that your friends like games that you don't, and vice versa. DEAL. You're going to run across a lot of people in life like that.

I'm just happy to see that there are other girls who are getting into gaming, 'cause god knows that there aren't enough of us. Just because they've taken a liking to the games that are specifically targeted to them and not to the games that you like isn't a crime. And by judging them, you're perpetuating the stereotype that girl gamers are trying hard to avoid.

So. OP? I respect your opinion, but please, try to think before you judge someone by the games they play.

14. I like Clannad (and liked Air and KyoAni!Kanon too), but I recognize that not everyone will enjoy them. I try not to force people to watch shows, even if they are really hyped ones like Clannad (or Haruhi for that matter). Of course I'll write about shows I like (whether they be anime, J-drama, J-variety or whatever), but I won't force people to like them.

27. Those "weeaboos" make all anime and manga fans look like total idiots. They also seem to have made it taboo to like anything related to Japan, it seems. As a fan of anime and manga, who is interested in Japan as well, I feel ashamed that such doinks ruin our reputation.

...huh. I've never watched an episode of Nip/Tuck in my life, but did that actually happen? Is it 'shopped or a freaky dream sequence or something? Because for some reason I always assumed that if teh gay ever appeared on a really popular mainstream show like that, at least someone would pitch a fit and I'd hear about it. So now I'm curious.

I read the manifesto, beautifully written and filled with a lot of heart, but I'm just not fond of it all.
It's like way too Romantic as in a Wuthering Heights, Heathcliff mauling the shit out of a dying Catherine brand of Romantic. I mean, god, if Mello's character is really like that, than what a tremendous douchebag. I know Mello's much more 3-dimensional than that leather-clad, gun-cock, don't-give-a-fuck, pretty-boy, bawwww-Near-is-better-than-me caricature that he's made out to be. Sure he's emotional, but I doubt he'd shoot you in the face if you called him second best unless perhaps you were Near. I do think he puts a little more thought into his actions.
Regarding that 'Matt is a loyal dog' idea, is it not possible to put trust into Mello without having to be some sort of drone? Is Mello's way of doing things so outrageous that the only way a person could plausibly follow him is to be a 'loyal dog'? This trivializes Mello's intelligence.

Also, I can't help but feel that Matt is treated like an accessory to Mello just to accentuate Mello's 'awesomeness' for lack of better word.

The only reason why I even argue this is because I can't agree that this is the end-all-be-all interpretation of Matt and Mello. I can definitely see the appeal in this interpretation, but I feel like I have to suspend my beliefs just to take this seriously.

Course, I don't want to be all SRZ BZNS here because that's silly, I'm merely throwing in my 2 cents here.
