This is why I'm terrified to get back into the fandom, even though I love the game like a brother. (And hate the Complication like an evil twin.)

25: I'm the complete opposite. When the dialogue of the live-action characters is no there to spell out the character's emotions, it just becomes talking heads to me. The facial expressions (and therefore emotions) of animated characters are much easier for me to read. This is actually something that reaches into RL as well; I literally can't make out the difference between a blushing person and a pale person.

You know, I know exactly what you're talking about. I was exposed to it back when it was on PBS and my dad would watch it on Sundays. Then came the new Who, and since I'm now of an age where I can have the attention span to watch it vs being like 2-3, that does make a difference. And also now asides it's all "ohhh all new and shiny" we also have the technology to really make the stories amazing, and it's something to be thankful of. My dad discourages me constantly about watching the older episodes laughing, "They were pretty aweful." And he loves the series.

And yeah those basher fanbrats are really hard to ignore. They're everywhere in fandom unfortunately.

9. Totally agree. I'm so sick of drabbles. It's like reading a commercial for a fic that hasn't actually been written. I would never tell people not to write them, but I certainly don't read them.

With all the variations of Die Schatten Werden Laenger out there you can't really blame me (although you probably should) for thinking it was a musical about Death randomly seducing young men. You can't imagine the dissapoint I felt when I realized Rudolf had liek three songs and one of them was when he's still a little kid...

Thanks again for making that wonderful little secret :P It might have been some small thing for you but it really opened my eyes to such a wonderful musical.

And also, anyone saying that they can't find the older series... join BitTorrent or Demonoid or BitMeTV (if you can get an invite for the last); someone I know has downloaded the entire Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Doctors and is working on Three. We don't have much faith in getting either First or Second due to the fact that a lot of the master tapes no longer exist. But it's not that hard to get 'em if you have a decent connection. Plus, DL when it's day-and-evening in Europe, that's generally where the series will be seeding from.

This might sound a little silly, but thank you. When that episode first aired, I'd struggled with my sexuality for ages and ages, terrified to admit anything to myself, terrified to admit anything to my parents, and it was such a little thing, just a cartoon -- but it meant so much to me to see this girl and that girl love each other, to see the Courage help them find each other again. It's such a little thing, yeah, but it kick-started so many other, bigger things inside me, starting with acceptance.

So. Yes. :)

1. B'awwwwww. Actually, I think this is what a lot of people did, but it's impossible for you to post a character that this person reminds you of if you don't know the series =/ So any close match is fine. So really, you can only post characters of YOUR fandoms.

6. People keep on making excuses on how "OMG FF7 IS SO RARE AND EXPENSIVE SO I CAN'T BUY IT" which is why they can't play it. Well, they're only right about the PSX version. Not very many people know that you can get the PC version NEW for $20. Which is way better than paying $100+ for a used copy that's probably Greatest Hits. Or even paying $15+ for just one disc because people are retarded and like to sell each disc separately. In my opinion, the PC version is little better except for the fact that the game might crash due to a slight incompatibility with XP. Yeah, that right. It was intended for use with Windows 95 D: So if you do buy the PC version then save VERY frequently.

I'm late on this but I don't think I've ever agreed with a secret as much as 29. I'm 20 and Wayside School is still insanely awesome.

I'm a new fan. I'm in love with Rose/Doctor, and I am Not a Fan of Martha (but not because she was Replacement!Rose, because she certainly wasn't. I dislike Martha for reasons that are pure Martha, and not pro-Rose).
Little bit frightened by your secret, actually. We're not all awful, even the "Rosefen." And I thought part of what made this series amazing was the way there's 20+ years of history behind it, and a lot of it is deliciously cheesieness. Nine, Ten, Rose, and the TARDIS will always be my favorite things about it, but that doesn't mean I haven't completely fallen in love with, say, Jamie, for one, nor that I don't desperately want to see more earlier adventures. It's just a little harder for broke college kids to get their hands on.

I'm in the same boat as you. Just got into the fandom, bit of a shipper, Not a Fan of Martha (but I did try, oh yes I did--and to tell you the truth, Ten's constant moping over Rose got real old real fast for me, no matter how much I liked her; honestly, he's lost companions before).

And so what if I haven't seen any of the old series yet? I can't download, and I can't afford to buy any DVDs. But I've done my reading, and I'm scouring libraries all over my state to find some of the Old Who stuff. Hell, I'm currently knitting a Four scarf so I can be properly prepared when I get my grubbing little paws on some Tom Baker-era arcs. I just avoid the Old fandom right now until I can go in a bit more prepared.

So being told to "shut the fuck up" really riles me. I'm so sorry that I'm trying to become a productive member of your fandom. Shall I just go away until I've seen more of the classic series? Because right now I'm feeling pretty damn inferior because I'm a young broke American. Sorry I ship. Sorry I like Jack. Sorry that the only Master I've seen was played by Jacobi and Simm. See you in a few months when I'm worthy to be in your fandom.

20. Okay, I read the Count of Monte Cristo few months I watched Gankutsuo (which, I loved very much, by the way) and thought the book was complete shit. :E Somehow the anime appealed to me a lot more. The book was shit, especially the disgusting ending. (I hated Haydée in both.)
