7 - Far be it from me to judge anyone with whatever fantasy/fetish/dream/opinion about a relationship, but this just simply baffles me. Sadism/masochism is not my cup of tea, and I can barely believe that someone is willingly asking to be abused. Having been in an abusive relationship myself, it's not OMG romantic or awesome like apparently two fictional characters have (besides, I'm not very much into YGO fandom myself, but isn't the whole Bakura thing fanon? As in, the two barely interact, aren't friends, and all the beating and battering is OOC?).

Oh well, at least you have LiveJournal to write about your relationship when things don't go like you want it to go.

Thank you for saying this. As someone who does have some interest in BDSM, intellectually at least, I still think this is fucking creepy. Playing with whips and kink is fun. Wanting to "break" and "abuse" someone until they "have nothing outside of" you is not.

6. Sometimes I'm guilty of this, too. :| If I don't want to RP with someone I don't know, though, I generally say "I don't really want to RP with you." Last time I threw myself into RP with someone I'd never talked to before, I got one-line replies to my poses, and since I RP to write multi-person fanfic, I consider it a waste of my time if I'm getting no emotion in response to what I write. x_x Makes me a snob, I guess, but to be fair, there are a LOT of people I will RP with.

27. I RP Claire. When I saw what West was doing to her, I nearly dropped the character because I hated it SO MUCH. Thankfully the storyline's gotten somewhat better in recent episodes. Somewhat.

18: I have the same fear, especially after having been burned so many times recently on great shows that quickly get canceled. The fact that it was picked up for a full season cheers me up greatly, though, and I'm far more confident that PD will make it through the strike intact than I am about DSM.

I'm starting to think that everyone in PW fandom spends so much time complaining about their favorite pairings being overshadowed by the big ones, that they're not actually watching the communities anymore.

Oh don't be silly~ The Phoenix Wright fandom is one of the absolute best in my very humble, inexperienced opinion. They're all very accepting of pairings and I've never really seen a shipping war. So go for it - I'm willing to bet there's plenty out there for ya if you expand your search a little.

And Tohru's absolutely LOVELY by the way. She's a great idol, and personally I think there's nothing wrong with looking up to a fictitious role model. I read this little essay thing a while back on deviantART about Lloyd, of Tales of Symphonia fame, and how his character and dialogue really got through to this chick and helped her rise above her depression, and I thought it was just brilliant.

Keep in mind, this is from somebody whose absolute mission in life is to create something like that that will reach out to people who have nobody to turn to and feel they have nothing left.

1: HELL YES! I probably spent more time snowboarding than actually playing the game. I'll still, on occasion, bust it out just to have some fun. My ex-roommate's boyfriend, my brother and I would play it (while she camped the comp) for 12-hour spans, while listening to Cake's Fashion Nugget album ... it was pretty much the most thing ever. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

35: (It's been said before, but lol read the faqs? They specifically address wings there.) Sure, it might not be the most original RP out there, but what is?

I'm not sure what makes it special, either (though I am enjoying it so far), but maybe it's a combination of having everyone, no matter how powerful before, be at the same kind of wimpy level and have to work their way back up. Or maybe it's the sadomasochistic streak of having/playing a favored character that suddenly has to deal with supposedly all-powerful beings trying to fuck with them. There's plenty of reasons to play, and there's no need to knock it just because you don't "get" it. D:
