35. The majority of multifandom RPs are boring and have lame plots these days anyway. In fact, I don't think ANYTHING has an original plot anymore. It's all been done. 'Tis why I lose interest in 99.9% of RPs out there.

Might wanna read the FAQs before you go around mocking things you 'don't get'. I found it pretty straightforward, personally.

Not really, for one thing I'd never want to be a BNF, the idea of being so popular and watched isn't appealing.

Its when BNF's become bitches and used to getting their way because of said status that it becomes a problem. If I ever became a BNF I'd be worried I'd turn out like that too.

Some people might like her work because they think it's good. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.

I admit, the story and characterization were rather...lacking (to put it nicely) - but 99.9% of the Japanese doujinshi are just as bad, what's the difference?

31. Well, in ooc chat we DO go 'orz bad app' at stuff. and we DO lightly tease eachother as friends. These are seperate things completely.

We don't sit there going 'whoever wrote that app is a moron lololololol lets ignore them lololol' or anything like that. :x We might discuss what we think is wrong with it, but it's not so rudely at all.

Admittedly, I DO think we have a lot of problems with LOOKING at apps. I constantly see ignored apps pages and pages and pages back, and as a player who loves the RP, it's a bit frustrating. The mods have lives outside of the RP, and things get skipped over for later, then completely forgotten about, and it's not like it's okay or a good excuse or anything... But... orz I dunno. I know it's frustrating, especially that, yes, apps they're excited about often get looked at first, but the mods are, regardless, some of the nicest people I've met like ever.

If we hate your app, we'll orz over it in chat, not mock it. And we're really more likely to reject it than leave it sitting forever on purpose. \(o_O)/

'Sides, it's not like we are a tiny group of RPers who never let in newbies; we've been getting lots of new players. If only friend's apps got looked at, the RP would only have like 20 players max, and I probably, even, wouldn't be a part of it.

So uh. Sorry you feel that way, and I admit we have some app-seeing-issues, but um. We're not as bitchy as you're making us out to be?

18. I KNOW. It happens to me, too. Every time. It's why I stopped watching TV for so long...this is the first time in years that I've truly LOVED a television show, and I really, really don't want it to die. D:

22. Tohru is my hero. She's my role model, seriously. For years my mantra was "think like Tohru, think like Tohru." It was nice, really, and even though I'm a Catholic and my mantra should be "WWJD," Jesus seems like quite the impossible goal to reach - Tohru, not so much. :)

32. Oh my god, I know! I love that movie, and I love Ariel, but she is a spoiled little brat! She is sixteen years old, for God's sake, and she knows Eric for two days before saying things like, "ZOMG, I love him!!1" which pisses me off, really. About all Disney movies. The girls are always very young, usually no older than seventeen, and then they get married within about a week of knowing some dude whose age is convinently rarely mentioned. :/ It kind of gives kids the impression, "crap, if I'm not married before I'm twenty, It's going to be too late!"

4) I'm being such a newb, what constitutes a personal attack? This one read like one to me, but it's still up there, so I must be reading it wrong.
6) I understand the natural inclination to do that, but it makes it really hard for new role players to get involved in the game when nobody will RP with them for whatever reason. It's discouraging and makes them feel unwelcome.
27) Heh, does anyone like West? This would've been a secret if it were professing how much the OP loved him. XD;;

Argh, the reaction to this secret is really pissing me off. "We just orz over it! No harm!"

You are making fun of people who want to come into your game and play with you. Worse, you are making fun of them essentially behind closed doors. It doesn't matter if it's gentle ribbing or full on flaming, that is a huge disrespect to whoever may be applying. It may the biggest piece of crap you ever did see, but you are still denying the potential player a very basic respect. If the criticism is so constructive, why can't you offer it to them? Would you really say the same things in chat as you would to their (internet) face?

I don't know. I'm admittedly not the most active player, but it really saddens me when I see that happening. I don't know if people could stop so easily, but it would be nice if they stopped to think for a second.

But uh seriously? People need to stop whining about apps getting skipped. No it doesn't mean people hate you, no it doesn't mean people are making fun of you, and uh surprise surprise, it doesn't mean we don't want you in our RP. Mods have lives, mods can be busy, mods might want to consult others on how the app looks, there are tons of genuinely good reasons that people need to consider.

32) If my aunt knew about Fandom Secrets, I would be almost certain that she wrote this. But she doesn't. And she doesn't keep her hatred for Ariel a secret either. Seriously, that's one of the reasons why I didn't own a copy of The Little Mermaid as a kid. Anyways, I liked the movie and Ariel a lot when I was little but looking back, the message seems kinda disturbing. A sixteen year old girl who gives up her life with her family just to be with a guy she thinks she's in love with but actually hadn't had a real conversation with him yet. And roughly about a month later, they get married. The fuck? I mean, maybe it's because I'm sixteen myself but I can't imagine myself doing that. And yeah, I also think she is somewhat overrated but she does stand out from the other Disney princesses. After all, she's a mermaid and they're humans. She does have alot of appeal. Hell, I even have a soft spot for her because she's a mermaid (they're my favorite mythical creature). But I do see where you are coming from. Personally, I'm more of a Belle, Mulan, Pocahontas, and Esmeralda fan.
