I've seen some of that, and honestly it just gets tiring. For people who are constantly saying that Jaime and Brienne will never happen, they sure seem threatened by it.

Where are you finding Jaime/Cersei stuff? All I find is Jaime/Brienne, which I don't like. I'd really love stuff with Jaime/Cersei or stuff with Brienne being awesome on her own without Jaime (or even just straight up friendship between them without romance).

I'm convinced Jaime/Brienne is going to happen, I just don't like it. And I usually hate incest, but I seem to really like Jaime/Cersei.

Have you checked the Jaime x Cersei tag? That's where it is :)

...These comms must be strictly full of show fans if they seriously think Jaime/Cersei is going to be endgame.

It's less about them being endgame as in "living happily ever after" and more about the fact that Jaime's and Cersei's fates are entwined and that, ideally, they'll die together. At least that's the general idea I get from the book!Jaime/Cersei shippers I know.

Yeah, but after Jaime abandoning Cersei in AFfC and all of his thoughts about Brienne, I'm not really sure how they're getting the idea that even that would happen. I mean, I'm also sure the twins are going to die at some point, but I very much doubt that Jaime/Cersei is the direction that GRRM is going to take the story in.

Most Lannister fans and Jaime/Cersei fans tag their anti-Jaime/Brienne posts, though, so you can tumblr savior them. Or at least they're willing to do so if you ask them.

Also, let's be real, lots of Jaime/Brienne shippers are absolutely disgusting towards Cersei, Jaime/Cersei, and Jaime/Cersei shippers. I don't care about either ship, but shippers from both sides have been pretty horrible about this whole thing.

This. Jaime/Cersei vs. Jaime/Brienne is pretty much the biggest ship war/ship drama in the fandom, full of 'Brienne is ugly and Jaime/Brienne will never happen' on the one side and 'Cersei is an evil vagina monster who corrupted poor innocent Jaime, who should now find love with Brienne' on the other.

Ugh yes. I ship both pairings pretty hard and I've seen a lot of nastiness from both sides. I've seen less cliquishness, condescension and elitism from Jaime/Brienne shippers though, I'll give them that.

Where? Where are these Jaime/Brienne who are supposed haters of anything involving Cersei?

I've been involved in at least two J/B comms and most of the folks there either liked her, were fascinated by her, or were just indifferent to her. Very few outright despised her and none bashed her character for the sake of making J/B look good.

Hell, some of them even shipped J/C just as much if not more than J/B. (At least that was true at the Jaime x Brienne boards last I checked.)

What's with the sudden stream of GOT/ASOIAF secrets? Are people sharpening their knives in preparation for season 4?

I don't ship Cersei, but I think she's an interesting character. I do ship Jaime/Brienne. So yeah, sometimes it can be hard to find people who appreciate Cersei who don't shit on Brienne or Jaime/Brienne shippers who don't dismiss Cersei's role in shaping Jaime's character.

I've ended up unfollowing a lot of people because of that kind of stuff.

Can you recommend any blogs from either ship that don't contribute to the ship war? I really do want more blogs to follow for both of these pairings, but I don't want to see any nastiness. Thanks!

Yeah, it sucks. I've encountered the same thing in Sleepy Hollow fandom.

Oh, don't get me started on the Sleepy Hollow ship wars! I ventured into the Ichabod Crane tag once and read the most ludicrous arguments between shippers. I love the show, but I won't go anywhere near the fandom.
