I think it's because a giant creature destroying buildings and making huge waves would definitely be reminiscent of several disasters.

*quietly says the time out loud* I don't think I do that...

Exact same thing, hahaha.

Yeah, OP is just missing one of the funniest and most enhoyable anime shows of the recent years.

Depends on the topic but I think the US is usually represented enough that I don't have anything to add.

OP

The worst. I've dropped stuff on the train while having a sleep attack, and then it's embarrassing on top of being awful and annoying :(

me being insecure about my fics

[personal profile] vethica 2014-03-05 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
ugh, dang, so for the WIP thread I was going to go through and post some lines from my WIPs, such as they are. But I didn't find too many good lines that worked out of context, and then I started worrying about the context, and then I started getting ashamed of my work again. And the ones I actually like are blatant kink-fulfillment (we're talking pretty obscure kinks), so I'm ashamed of that too. And so I'm probably never going to post them, unless there suddenly springs up an audience for possession fic about children's cartoon shows. :((

nayrt. Huh, there's more there than I thought. Sadly, not in any of the fandoms I write for, but it's an encouraging sign.

I know! I'm constantly cleaning my glasses. And just - wth, *how* do they get so gross? I don't touch them except for the temples or the rims....

I notice people's clothes standing in line and stuff. Drives me crazy, so i end up staring at stupid tabloids or whatever and wanting to rant about them out loud.

You are. It's a trait of yours I appreciate and enjoy as well.

Even though I'm not her, I'm sorry, because I did the same thing to my first roommate. It was a very long time before she mentioned it and I don't think it bothered her too much, but I did try to type more quietly once I knew.

My second roommate was mostly deaf and took her hearing aids out at night. We joked occasionally that that must have been why we got paired up.

*cough*

I think there's too much "you think?" in this thread?

Do I think that?

Yes I do.

I just thought it would be a in General thing then people can just add their own stuff, we could probably do it semi regularly like once a week or biweekly or something along those lines? I'm not the only one who isn't American here...

I love Godzilla and I really want this movie to be good.

But yeah, considering its origins, the change in the script sucks.

Taking this with a grain of salt, but if that is true it makes a lot of sense and fits with what I've seen of her in interviews.

I work at an airport. Last night security called requesting an ambulance for an elderly woman who was in distress. Without ever contacting her to see if she wanted help (she had an airline agent & wheelchair attendant with her at the time), or notifying her that they had called anyone. We tied up an ambulance and a fire rig for 25 minutes tracking her down.

Well it was only really horrifying until I figured out what was going on. Actually it was one of the things that lead me to my field of science/study.

I mean, it still feels pretty terrible and all, but now I can appreciate it as one of those mysterious quirks of an organ I find utterly fascinating.

And I think I'd actually be more inclined to freak out if I were hallucinating and able to move as opposed to hallucinating and unable to move, so I feel worse for you, friend.

Theatre! Occasionally I write tl;dr comments about it here on F!S. Like the other day nursejoy asked about Shakespeare plays with gender/lesbian related material and I seriously got out like five books just to give her proper recs (the Riverside complete works, separate editions of Twelfth Night and All's Well That Ends Well, Ron Rosenbaum's The Shakespeare Wars, and a book specifically on cross-dressing in the theatre). Because I am a dork. XD

We don't ask anyone out on dates would probably be a better way to put it, and usually if you go on a date you have already slept with that person and/or it is pretty clear that you are a couple. We don't date more than one person at the time. I've been in 3 long term relationships and I have been on like 1 official date in my life.

Here is an article type thingy explaining it: http://thyra10.wordpress.com/2013/08/31/so-you-want-to-date-a-scandinavian/

keep in mind that this is in general, and so is the article thingy

You can like something and think it's problematic.

The fact that somebody thinks a thing is terrible and somebody else does not only means that they have different standards or different levels of awareness.

Popularity doesn't make a work perfect or even better than a less popular work.

We are all unfairly biased in some ways.
