I had a thought:
As a post somehow ended up here without me meaning to I guess this is a good as time as any to ask about a thingIs anyone interested in threads about how stuff is different in other countries, and/or ask questions? We used to have a similar thing before I think?
Example: Did you guys know that in general Norwegians people don't go on dates if they aren't already a couple?
Re: I had a thought:
The reindeer gets excellent benefits.
Uh. The reindeer also does not want to go out on a date unless you are already a couple.

Re: I had a thought:
Hmmm, then how to you get to know the person?
Re: I had a thought:
Through copious amounts of alcohol and friends. Eating with someone you don't know and then also figuring out who pays is like my biggest nightmare. I would much rather get to know them at a party or other places where money and/or food isn't involved.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-05 01:59 am (UTC)(link)My current curiosity is if they sell Girl Scout Cookies outside the U.S. Have you ever had any?
Re: I had a thought:
Re: I had a thought:

Re: I had a thought:
Which is a crying shame because holy cow I love them and the Girl Scout versions are horrible to me.
I don't know what it is, they're just plain ol' chocolate and vanilla sandwich cookies but ... but...

I can answer questions about France if anyone has any.
Re: I had a thought:
And that is awesome! And I promise to keep the French jokes to a minimum!
Which reminds me if I didn't want to go to Paris which city should I go to in France?

Re: I had a thought:
For me dating someone you barely know seems pretty pointless and also expensive in the long run, getting to know people in other social settings* seems better all around with the added bonus of being able to leave to talk to someone else without being rude.
*That are oddly similar to dating, except usually you have some friends around.

Re: I had a thought:
Is it legal to own a kangaroo? I only ask because I saw a gif on tumblr of a kangaroo in someone's house hopping around in clothes and that seems kind of weird to me.
Are all the animals trying to kill you?
Are women really called Sheila all the time? If I visited and called random women "sheila" would I sound douchey?
How do you feel about this video?
Who is cuter - US Americans or Canadians? (Either way the three of us vs England is not even a competition amirite)
I actually would love to learn about Australian history especially 20th century but I can find no books on it? Do you recommend any? And what is some Australian classic literature?
Is it really a rite of passage for you guys to go travelling when you're young/just out of high school? Because I have always been jealous of that.
What is currently trendy in Australian fashion?
What is typical Australian cuisine like?
Do you like New Zealand? Are they like Australia's Canada?
Do you have gay marriage? How do I get an Australian to marry me so that I can move there?
If you are LGBT, how is the community there? If you are not you can just ignore this question.
ETA: And do you know any Australian urban legends or scary stories?
