More indirect, it seems like? Except it sounds like there's more kissing in public?

My husband will take out all the trash and then not replace the trash bags in the little cans. And he'll wash all the dishes and but not my wine glasses.

And I have no right to be annoyed at all because I have a husband who does a hell of a lot of chores and cooking. He probably does more than me. LOL But that does annoy me.

Then you already know them and dating wouldn't be a thing you need. It isn't a part of our social interactions. We don't use the word much, and when we do it is the English one...

If you wanted to have a relationship with a friend, then you don't have to date them to do that, you would probably just end up sleeping together then call it a relationship from there.

Also: alcohol is your best bet and even if you are not drunk or anything close to it, that is involved at some point.

could you catch the leak in a bucket or something so the whole step doesn't get iced?

"Dolls" is a good descriptor for such characters. The character designs in the secret look like extensions of pin-ups.

I'm almost always annoyed by nighttime because I'm tired and want sleep, but at the same time I want to have a few hours to myself to game or read or whatever. So I fight with myself over it, usually stay up too late and don't want to wake up the next morning.

People who block the aisle in stores.

People coming over uninvited, at the worst possible time. Just call first...

Video games freezing when you haven't saved in a while. I swear I save every five minutes, but the one time I decide, "No no, it'll totally be fine", the game freezes or shuts down.

I so get you on the french fry thing. Or when you have a box of crisps and get to the bottom and it's all broken pieces, or when you have one or two small fish fillets and need three or four, anything like that.

Oh Lord no. You do not want to hear me sing.

Weirdly, I can write kinks I don't have much more easily than I can write kinks I like.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-05 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
Why do you think people with 9-5 jobs aren't asked to do stuff for free, and/or vastly beneath the value of their actual work?

Also, I do write fiction professionally (as well as fanfic), and almost nobody makes enough money to live on that way. It's a nice bonus but it works out to something like a maximum of $1.15/hour after 10 years of sales!

Thanks. I just don't know how people would react to this fetish. But my boyfriend said he'd be up for wearing them soon. So I guess I'm getting my wish. >///

Size 14 is exactly average. People are dicks.

Considering that lots of people DO call her fat, you clearly have a much higher opinion of Hollywood than it deserves.

They do that with a lot of people. They're shitting on the Gunnerkrigg court guy now because he was apparently so safe that when he fell out of line once their feefees exploded.

Argle bargle, I can never decide either. Even if I break down and say Richard III for history, Much Ado for comedy, and Macbeth for tragedy, I still feel like I'm leaving out things I really love like Richard II, 1 Henry IV, Tempest, JC, and Hamlet.

I really love the history plays and think they never get enough love. Even the poor forgotten King John is actually pretty amusing; and while I always like to say A Song of Ice and Fire is "Henry VI with dragons", it's obvious that Tyrion is Bastard Faulconbridge from King John (highborn but with outsider status, gets all the best lines, steals scenes).

The dating in films never shocked me, I just thought it was a kind of film thing that didn't really happen much in Real Life. Also asking people that isn't your SO to Prom, isn't a thing we do, you go with friends or your SO...

For me dating someone you barely know seems pretty pointless and also expensive in the long run, getting to know people in other social settings* seems better all around with the added bonus of being able to leave to talk to someone else without being rude.

*That are oddly similar to dating, except usually you have some friends around.

Re: I had a thought:

(Anonymous) 2014-03-05 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm, maybe? I'd say it's more like you said upthread, that it's done in a group setting instead of individually. Though you might be alone in a bar, it's a group setting if you didn't go there with the person you hooked up with.

The usual thing is that you're there talking to someone (and if it works, kissing them and making out) and your friends are around, talking to you and stuff. The new couple might disappear or move away temporarily for more privacy. It depends if your friends are cool with it or not.

And yes, definitely more public kissing involved.

Penguindrum...

So, I was just watching the first episode and what's the deal with the brother kissing the sister on the mouth? Is that a thing in this show? I was thinking it would be a cute show about 3 siblings working together, so what's going on?

I'm sure if you were frequently filmed while speaking we could put together a lovely list of all the stupid hurtful shit you said.

That doesn't mean she gets a pass on the stupid hurtful shit she said, and you should totally call her out on the stupid hurtful shit she said, but don't act like it's a betrayal when she doesn't perfectly conform to the image THE PRESS is trying to present her as.

I'm beginning to think that over here we just don't have much of a line between getting to know someone to be friends and getting to know someone to be in a relationship.

Two more questions (I'm actually starting to annoy myself with how much I feel like I need to get to the bottom of this, so I'm sorry):
1. Do you go out and do things with a friend one on one?
2. What if you don't want to sleep with someone yet, for whatever reason? Does that ever happen, and do people establish relationships anyway, or do they just wait?

Yes that's it actually I think some anti-feminist people pointed it once and this is what we get.
