...Wine is like whiskey, honestly. You can find a peaty one, a sweet one, a smoky one, or a sour one or one that's a mix of those flavours. But with wine you can find one that spicy, sweet, fruity, sour, bitter, smoky, metallic, piney... they're all just so different that you can't try one and dismiss it.

You can easily find a good fortified wine that has a alcohol content of 20-30%.

I also love sweet whites, but you really have to get a little more into the food and wine pairings to appreciate an Auslese properly, I find. Something like a Port is a perfect aperitif/digestif, and therefore a bit more approachable.

Do you like tequila? A lot of mixed drinks with tequila are sweet and fruity, like tequila sunrises.
