Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

I've never understood why threads like this were necessary. FS is made up of a large group of people, from different backgrounds, with different life experiences, different political views, different religions, different likes and dislikes, and yeah, different fandom opinions. There are always going to be people you like and don't like in life, but it seems kind of childish to name names. What purpose does it serve to complain about how you don't like certain people?

Yeah, I learned that lesson in 8th grade when I got mad at one of my BFFs and told our other BFF why I was mad at her. It didn't end well then, won't end well now.

I genuinely enjoy noodles and think most of the people who get on his case are overly sensitive and have a hyped up victimization complex.

elaminator is my favorite. Great icons, generally nice disposition, and a lot of common interests, especially Tolkien. The kind of person I would have friended back when I was still really in fandom.

The honest truth is I don't pay any attention at all to who says or posts what on the regular. Everyone is the same as anyone else to me. I don't care enough to do otherwise. Except noodle who I hate.

I like darkmanifest for the purely selfish reason that I saw them reccing my fics once or twice :D

They do seem like a cool person in general, though.

Reading these threads bums me out out because apparently no one cares enough about me to hate me or like me. And I'm a singed in regular. I guess I'm either not enough of an asshole or not nice enough. Story of my life online and off.

I like Nurse_Joy because she's nice and because she recs femslash stuff and I feel like one day, she'll deliver me a wonderful femslash OTP.

one person whose posts I always really enjoy seeing, who hasn't been mentioned ITT, is dreemyweird, who is a great poster whose contributions i really enjoy, even though i'm not necessarily in a lot of their fandoms.

also everybody else. gosh i feel like that one character in Mean Girls who just wants to bake a cake out of feelings so we could all eat and stop fighting ITT

I suppose it is an inevitability from the standpoint of participating in a comm, but I don't particularly like some of the "big name member" culture that comes as a result of these kinds of things, especially in a community dedicated to personal secrets and such.

Kind of makes me wish that anon was mandatory for all comments.
But I don't know how that would even work.

I used to seek out and really enjoy some people, but lately it feels like I'm reading the same comments on the same topics over and over, even with the people I like.

Oh god, I hate these kind of threads. It very rarely ends well...

I hate how this frequently turns into a Us (anon) VS Them (un-anon) topic...

We are all people, we all have a right to be here and write whatever we want to write, within boundaries. We have a right to be anon, we have a right to sign in and post with a username. It's not that hard to become a BNF you know. But trust me, you gotta have thick skin.

I still remember sometime like a year or so ago maybe a year and a half...I submitted a secret about how on tumblr I felt like the radical SJWs were kinda like the girls in 'Mean Girls' in how they acted. ariakas came and chewed me out for it saying-IIRC- to leave the SJ people alone because they had good intentions and were calling out bad behavior and not to judge the whole group just the shitty ones or some such.

and I was just like "except...if you actually READ my secret that's EXACTLY what I was doing. I specified the RADICAL social justice people. RADICAL." Her reaction felt like someone reacting to a person saying "gee I hate the WBC" with "No you can't say that about Christians , they're not all like that" when the original person ALREADY FUCKING SPECIFIED the WBC and not 'Christians in general'. Like "what the hell do you think I meant by radical? As far as I know "radical ANYTHING' usually doesn't mean anything good.

Also if you look at how Tumblr SJ is now... Gee giving Tumblr SJ the benefit of the doubt because 'they mean well' worked out JUST DANDY didn't it?

I liked forgottenjester a lot of at first, but I've been soured towards them lately. Mostly because of really weird, "I'm tired of people thinking I can't be an asshole" rant they did at an anon and any tell yourself about us thread goes back to them being a genie joke, which lost its humor a long time ago.

I honestly SO glad that bringreligiontothewamwams is gone.

Like I don't think I've ever dislike a user so much but they were just a jerk more often than not. Good fucking riddance.
