It's been a while since I asked this question. Tell me something you like about yourself.

Can be physical, emotional, a weird trait, or a talent you picked up. Anything. Just tell me something that makes you happy to be you.

I have awesome reddish-chestnut curly hair that shines like a new coin when it's sunny. It is probably the same colour as Violet Hunter's.

Also, I can flip pancakes in the air.

I looked in the mirror last night and went 'Damn girl, your hair is fine'. I'm trying out a new hairstyle (for my own private amusement, of course) and now I'm thinking about keeping it, it's so cute. And even though I don't have it through any effort on my own part, I do have a figure that lots of my friends are jealous of.

I taught myself how to knit and crochet, and now I'm slowly teaching myself to sew (only by hand so far). It's really fun to watch something take shape and know that I'm doing that with my hands and a few tools.

I like that I am so mentally and emotionally tough, I can survive things that make others curl up into whimpering fetal balls of horrified terror.

This has its pros and cons, you understand.

I have double-jointed hands, which makes for excellent party tricks. "I can bend my pinky far enough back that it touches the back of my hand!" (On the other hand, most people's reaction is utter disgust and horror, which gets kind of irritating when I'm trying to show off this cool thing I can do.)

Also, I can make a sturdy-ish paper box with any sheet of paper and a hard surface. The joys of origami.

My hair is nice, and pretty thick, which is cool, and it does this weird curly thing sometimes which I like.

I can make teeny tiny little origami cranes! :D

I've taught myself not to wallow in depression and self-pity. If something is upsetting me then I find something I can do to fix it, even if it's just one small step in the right direction.

Well...I get mistaken for a teenager often enough, so yay genes? Granted, I don't necessarily want people to think I look that young, but I imagine I'll be pleased with it once I get a bit older.

I have teeth that are white, proportionally sized and even, and have never had cavities or needed braces, and according to my last check up are 'horribly healthy'. Previous to my last check up I hadn't been to a dentist in over a decade, and had flossed on average once a year during those years. (No, I do not have bad breath.)

I'm hilarious and often the funniest person in whatever group I'm in. I've made plenty of people spit-take with laughter, or sent them into giggle fits where they haven't been able to stop laughing for a minute or so. I like being funny because it makes me happy to see other people smile.

Also, I have a great arse.

I mostly like my "creative" ability ,my story ideas and stuff, I may sometimes hate on some things about how my mind works but I will never not love being able to generate ideas like I do. (Well except sometimes when I'm trying to focus on one.)

Also the one thing I do like about my over-emotional 'sensitive' self is how having such powerful emotions can make using emotion memory in my writing to great effect. I have a LOT of emotions I've experienced and even if I have never experienced a thing myself, I can (with other knowledge/ research) dig up a memory that might be close.

Also I do sorta consider my ideas and OCs ...sorta part of me and I could never hate them. I know I'll probably get laughed at for that and it kinda makes it sound like I'm one of those writers who are so close to their creations they can't take crit. (I'm not) But yeah. I love the fact that I was able to create them and...stuff.

I love my natural high energy level (and metabolism) too. That's pretty nice.

I hate working out, especially the sweating part, but I have stuck to a schedule of regular outdoor exercise walking for a year now. Not without lapses, and not without prodigious complaining on some days, but I have gone from not doing anything for my health to (mostly) looking forward to the three days a week where I go out and bust my ass. I'm proud of my own perserverance, and of the five and a half miles I managed today.

I have managed to make friends with people who care about media analysis/literacy as I do all while not scaring people off. :)

I enjoy public speaking and I'm even pretty good at it. I can fall asleep almost anywhere and have awesome dreams. And I don't get yeast infections. Ever.
