Trigger warnings. Fuck Tumblr for taking an actual thing (PTSD) and turning it into whatever the hell it is now. No the word 'rape' will not trigger some kind of PTSD flashback. That isn't how it works. At most it might (MIGHT) make you uncomfortable. They are devaluing what people with actual PTSD go through and making it into a joke.

I wish I could stick some of those assholes in a room with people who actually suffer from PTSD and make them try and explain how triggering a word on the internet is.

We had a poster here who politely explained that she had flashbacks and nausea whenever she read the word "epilepsy." "Rape" seems like it could easily have a similar effect.

I heard a bit on the radio a little while ago about a museum or memorial in Rawanda dedicated to the genocide where, in the basement, there are a bunch of mattresses where visitors go to lie down when it all becomes too much. Sometimes there is someone there to administer a sedative. If not, the basement is filled with cries and moans.

That's the kind of place people like that should have to visit.

On a similar note, I'm kind of confused by all the sudden new phobias that have to be tagged, and by how suddenly they come and go. Last year it was always emetophobia, this year I haven't seen a single thing about emetophobia, it's always about scopophobia, but I'm seeing that having a sudden drop-off on my dash lately, too.

I've no doubt these are actual phobias out in the world but I've noticed a coming-and-going pattern on my dash.

I had a former best friend cut me out of her life too but from the opposite side. She decided I was a SJW when I tried to disagree with her. She also claimed I was the one who can't handle criticism or people disagreeing with me.

A similar thing happened to me, anon, and I'm still dealing with it. It's not just the loss of a good friend, it's the question of whether or not you're actually the awful human being they apparently think you are. And even when you know you're not, sometimes late at night it gets to you.

This is borderline fucking irrelevant but I just wanna say that Armin is going to turn (basically) evil in the SNK manga soon and I can't wait for Tumblr to fall all over itself trying to defend it's favorite little angel with awful half-baked 2deep "make u think?" arguments for why he's actually still a perfect pure baby and totally in the right and Eren and Mikasa are just doodoo heads.

And by "I can't wait" I actually mean I'm rigging a system that will allow me to detonate the dynamite beneath my house with a push of a button.

Oh my god I so do not care what class(es) of being you like to fuck (or not.) Any of you. At all. Why do you insist on continually bringing the matter to my attention? Nor do I give a single rat's ass about whether or not you are on speaking terms with your own genitalia. Your business, not mine.

And no I do not think my favorite character should be gay, I like him straight TYVM, and the writers have repeatedly indicated that this is indeed his orientation. Quit shitting on my show for not conforming to your fantasies or catering to your need for pretend people who meet your esoteric criteria.

I can't remember my password to the one Tumblr I actually want to use. Not Tumblr's fault, but kind of useless of Tumblr to let me stay logged in in the app but not let me change the password from there. Also, fuck the mobile and app versions of everything.

I just can't get into my current fandom on Tumblr. I don't RP, I don't have long-winded headcanons about my player-character, and everyone knows each other etc etc. And when there's drama, it takes up the entire tag.
