I mean... how much more did you want HBO to show of Sansa and Sandor's ~romantic~ relationship??? A lot of that relationships exists in the character's heads? Do you want Sansa to have a dream sequence where she thinks she remembers Sandor kissing her?

You do realize those relationships are incredibly different, right? They're not really comparable. It would be completely insane if they portrayed the relationships the same way. Like, you have one relationship that's pretty explicitly predatory and one that doesn't really happen as a romantic relationship. I'm not even sure there's any commonality to how they should be portrayed. It's a weird case to make.

Just saying, her being a minor might have something to do with why they didn't want the actress playing out romantic scenes with a much older adult man.

TI think the show is streamlining characters more - mostly doing a good job (though sometimes failing).

The thing is that we're supposed to find that kiss super creepy as show watchers. Not just that, but the whole "I want to fuck the daughter of my childhood crush" even though in his head "she could have been his daughter is illustrating how messed up that is"

Sandor is a lot of things - a killer, a brute, a morally grey man.

But, him being shown as pining over a teenager would, I think, made him creepier than the show is wanting to portray him. It would also make his whole partnership with Arya more iffy if the audience thought he was into little girls, which is not at all what that dynamic is supposed to be.

Being a creepy perv is essential to Littlefinger's character.

Sandor has to be creepy, but is not required to be a perv.

Wow, I'm actually really surprised at all the SanSan hate in this thread? I'm not in the fandom much anymore, but I thought it was the juggernaut pairing when I left.

The interactions between these two characters was what got me into ASOIAF fandom in the first place, so it honestly sort of weirds/bums me out to see it take such a beating here. Ah well.
