So apparently 4chan decided to make #endfathersday trending. Feminists fell for it and are now complaining on twitter to end Father's Day because it promotes 'masculism and rape culture".

And then Tumblr has post after post of, "SOME PEOPLE DON'T HAVE FATHERS!!! STOP RUBBING FATHER'S DAY IN THEIR FACE!!!!!"

And I just want to celebrate my father. :C

I wondered if that whole End Father's Day thing was trolling. Good to know it was.

Started as trolling. Now 4chan sits back and laughs at feminists who are taking it seriously.

MRAs fell for it too. They had a bit of a meltdown. It was hilarious.

So did FOX news apparently.

Can we rename them Tumblr!feminists? I swear I try to stick to my principles but idiots like this are giving feminism such a bad rep.

ugh. my father is dead and while the holiday does make me a bit sad, I would never want to make others feel as though they should tiptoe around the holiday. moms and dads deserve those holidays. shut up, tumblr!!!

I've always been a bit awkward around people whose folks I know have died on Mother's/Father's day, but I guess on the other hand I will celebrate my parents every day knowing that tomorrow we might not all be here.

This is why I still enjoy some of 4chan's shenanigans; when they put their collective heads together to form excellent bait, you just gotta laugh at anyone who took it seriously (not that they could have known it was bait).

Yeah, I mean I'm a feminist, (not a tumblrite though), and I love my dad to pieces. He's awesome. I'd have been so mad if I saw that shit.

We've been arguing for a while about social progress, and he's been saying that if I'm really pro-gender equality, why I am calling myself a feminist isntead of a gender egalitarian. It's been a long debate but I think I'm gaining ground on this.

Anyway, he reposted a screencap of the radfems' tweets. I just said this is why I'm a feminist - because otherwise, a good movement gets taken over by stupid people.

Either I made my point, broke his brain, or both.
