IDK about Mickey (never watched those eps) but I remember somebody posting on Tumblr about the actor's Twitter, and saying it was basically 100% selfies with his old co-stars. They reblogged a few of the pics, and dude looked immensely happy go-lucky kind of guy.

I think Clara, as a character, suffered a lot from the production issues that Moffat-era Who has constantly struggled with and the lost season. I think the show has just never been able to consistently depict her character as a control freak even though that's consistently what they've had in mind apparently.

IA that Jenna is really charming and I'm comfortable with her just being charming and having adventures, though. TBH that's all I really ask from main characters on Who - be charismatic enough that I enjoy watching them fuck around.

Good news/bad news

Good news: Our Jack Russell's leg is recovering beautifully from his knee surgery two weeks ago, and his sunny disposition hasn't faltered.

Bad news: His digestive tract isn't doing as well as the rest of him. Now he's on a whole slew of fun new medications for colitis, and he can only eat ground beef and rice until it clears up. Not that he seems to mind that second part.

How about you, F!S? What are you having mixed reactions to?

Which is is why I can't say I like Rose or Nine all that much. Their treatment of Mickey was offputting. Of course, I place the blame the writers for that but still.

Is this DC's attempt at being the opposite of Marvel? Like, "Look at how much fun the Marvel heroes are, let's be the opposite of that! It makes us EDGY!"

Oh dear...I have a feeling it's not going to be good for DC...or the fans who want a good film. This makes me grateful that I like and care for Marvel more. I wouldn't know how to feel if I was a DC fan. I don't hate DC, just sad/disappointed that it hasn't been able to live up to its true potential.

where she suddenly became shallow and nearly left the Doctor because he wasn't young anymore. ... (and it made me grind my teeth when Capaldi went "I'm Scottish, I can COMPLAIN!" and then "Oh, ~Amy~ would have been so awesome if she were here" - seriously, she's turning into Rose)

So, IOW, Moffat's standard operating procedures are still firmly in place. Good to know. Wake me up when the reign of horrible is over.

Good news: My best friend is back home from spending a summer in Tennessee! I'm going to get to see him tomorrow! We might go to Ikea!

Bad news: I have a cold that just won't leave! It's mostly cleared up but I'm still having coughing fits that are making my throat sore! I'm so tired of taking medicine and coughing!
