Hate may have been bad word choice. Perhaps phrasing it "it frustrates me" might have been better. But soft language doesn't seem right for a secret, and I just wanted to get something said and move on.

27. With the way fandom operates on livejournal, I hardly think it's all that difficult to avoid yaoi if you don't choose to seek it. Just go to a hetfic or genfic comm. And with fanfic archives -- do a character/genre filter. Fic won't fall into your lap, put your back into it. Now if you're complaining about the volume of yaoi stuff overshadowing the other genres... that's still a crappy reason to hate on yaoi. Those fans were never going to write what you wanted anyway, cut your losses and move on.

28. That... is not the point of the show, imo. Also, I'm having a hard time buying the sentiment of this secret -- not because it's fakity-fake per se, but it's still slightly incredible to me that anyone could realistically take that approach to life.

27. You know, I really wish I had the patience to respond like this, but studying for finals has killed it. But... I don't think I'll ever understand why people don't just read what they like rather than blaming everything else for existing because it's. Not what they like. 12. The entire fandom is turning into freaking wank-off if you ask me. You have the people who think they're BNFs wanking in one corner, and some people who think the BNFs are meanies masturbating in the other as they tell each other that they're so much better than the big, bag BNF-wannabes. Either way, you can't win. Though I do agree, the elitism is wearying.

27. Out of all the reasons to dislike yaoi, I can understand this and still have no sympathy, because it's really not that hard to find at least some gen-fic out there.
