It is clearly fake, but it's just a bobcat, not an amalgamation of anything. (It actually took me a couple looks to figure out if it was fake, or just badly taxidermied, but its stripes are clearly painted on.)

Apparently, he gave an interview back in 2012 and admitted that he hunts, which, okay, it's not for everyone and while I don't personally agree with it, it's not gonna ruin anyone for me.

TBH, I think he has a point when it comes to to connection between conservation and hunting, and it is something a lot of people ignore/don't know about.

As long as he's doing it safely and responsibly, and not taking anything illegally/out of season, I don't actually see the harm.

How is hunting that bad? As long as you use all of the animal, or it is because of overpopulation? I feel a lot better about myself when I eat reindeer, fish or moose than I do eating cow or chicken, as they have had a chance to live a life in the wild with lots of room and freedom.

Is it a culture thing? Or something completely different?

not saying I don't understand being against eating meat, but being against eating meat that's been hunted and not farm animals is a different thing

I like burgers and sausage. They come from some animal being killed. I have no place to stand judgmental on a hunter who has stated that he uses all the parts of the animal and isn't hunting anything endangered.

To everyone confused/curious about the "animal" in the photo it's a 3D archery target, which are made of foam iirc.

I really want to know if he actually shot that grouping or not, and at what distance, and if that's his bow next to him, and if it's a Mathews...

I'll wait until I find out he's hunting endangered species or people. Then I'll hate the fuck out of him.

I don't like hunting either (too associated with douchebaggery and weapons scare the fuck out of me) but, due to a severe lack of other predators, it's necessary in some cases. And as someone who eats factory farmed meat every day, it's far better to eat wild game (or just less meat overall, but...)
