Tamers is INCREDIBLE and will always be my favorite Digimon Saga (Impmooon~!) However, I'd take the dub over subs anyday. Digimon's one of the few dubs that actually make the Americanized puns/jokes cute or funny X3

36. I agree. I love the book to death, and I desperately want a large insane fandom arguing over whether Drawlight/Lascelles or Childermass/Lascelles is the true OTP, and if Strange and Norrell were screwing, and long, drawn out discussions about Thistledown/Stephen Black. It would be glorious, even with (or especially with?) the wankers.

Not!Secret 2. I would ship them, but I'm too busy shipping Sheldon/Green Lantern. :D

27. YES. That is very common behaviour among fangirls unfortuantly: They call a character a "slut" and hate her because of how she was designed, when it is the male creator's fault for making the shitty character.

10. I don't like her, but that doesn't mean I don't think she's a fab character. You're right, she's very real, but she annoys me. Which is totally okay. Real people are annoying all the time. ;) Now Rita....don't get me started. Lol.

13. It was as good as an adaptation could be. Terry was involved all the way and even puts in an appearance. Totally awesome. Just don't expect it to be exactly the same, that ruins everything everytime.

31. Good luck finding one. Not that I don't have a very special place in my heart for FF IX for reasons we shall not get into but... Zidane is so vapid, he's not what I would call the deepest of characters. It wouldn't be that hard to play him. He's not a bad guy, but... There really isn't much to him besides the libido and the "Oh woe is me I was artificially created in a lab!" ... And the prehensile tale... Forget I said that last bit. My point is that, yes, Garnet needs a Zidane, but she doesn't need her Zidane to actually be Zidane. Any reasonably heroic, supportive, guy will fill that role for her. You know what I mean?

I know what you mean, but... what I mean is, I need someone that can be positive for me when I'm down. I noticed that while Garnet tends to be easily depressed, Zidane always tries his best to look on the bright side. Compared to the main protagonists of 7 and 8, Zidane is pretty cheerful, doncha think? XD

dude. tamers didn't impress me all that much (probably because i was still hopelesly stuck on fangirling over digimon 01), but is was still one of the best anime i've ever seen. and i'd watch it all over again.

28. that made me laugh. it's a matter of one's preference, but i like l/light better than light/sayu, only because the former is all about how they're trying to kill each other.

5. The scanlation that I read for Death Note used Raito at first. When they switched over to Light I found it annoying and jarring. I don't care what his name actually is, I still call him Raito. (But then, I'm not involved in that fandom at all...)

Yes! I'm very much a cynical realist in real life, but I'm so tired of the glorification of angst in literature/fic/whathaveyou. Personally, I'll take lighthearted fun over glum angst in fiction any day, and it annoys me that people often look down on it just because. If you like nitty-gritty realism, exploring moral issues, messed up characters and darker themes, then more power to you. But having themes like that doesn't necessarily mean something's automatically better, deeper, more complex, or more enjoyable, and there's no reason to look down on things that are more lighthearted because that's what you prefer.
