19. That makes me kinda sad because I play Axel in an RP where they're canon. I understand that not everyone likes the pairing (how could I not; I've gotten flack about it before); I'd just hope people wouldn't lie and say they like it if they don't. If you're friends with the players, I'd hope they understand. Knowing the truth is better than being lied to. : /

That sounds almost exactly like something I would write. ('Except my younger sister is 14.)

I drive her nuts with my slash pairings and she grumbles about it so much. XD;; (She's short-tempered too! XD) Like you, she's probably my best friend too. I can't talk to anyone like I do with her.

We also go to conventions together too. I tried going with a group of friends once, but that didn't work. It ended up being just the two of us again. ^^;;

Ahh...younger sisters. ♥

P.S. My sister complains about my hair too. xD;;

4. It is possible that he was having these issues before, and only realized how to express them because of the show.
It's not your fault, and if that is actually the case he would have eventually found something else to use, on his own.

I know what that's like, because I've done it.

13. Sounds like how I felt about The Golden Compass. Yes, book to movie renditions have fallen short in the eyes of readers for -years-, but Harry Potter has made me more cynical than any other book-to-movie transition I've seen.

I hope you're not disappointed.

You're a normal FMA fan?

Honestly... Sounds like everyone else.
"I didn't slash characters before." "I didn't have violent OTPs before." "I didn't read hatesex before."
And there are the people that only ever shipped rare/obscure pairings who -love- the 'obvious' ones.

Not that I'm trying to be rude as horrible as my wording is, but seriously- most people in FMA are like that.
Which is probably why so many of the EdxWin and Royai shippers are so defensive.


21. Uhh... I don't like FF, I've never liked FF and I've actually considering trying to get into it recently just to give it a second chance. But... I've hated FF since before I knew what the internet was, so it's definitely not a 'looking cool' thing.
I'm just really picky about the games I like, and tend to -prefer- the ones that no one else is impressed with, actually.

No, really. Really. I cringe at the pictures of my favorite pairings, and I've never really known why or told anyone or thought anything of it.
I rather like not being alone.


24. Not to such a degree, but- I've done it. I'm working on a fic right now, in which I kill the main character. Really, the story was supposed to take place after his death and involve the characters left behind, but I just had to prequel it.

...Seriously, not everyone's going to like Final Fantasy--and I say this as someone who's devoted and is devoting tons to the FF!Fandom--big deal--Final Fantasy isn't even that popular in Japan--ask them about Dragon Quest, and they're much more likely to jump through hoops--oh, and please do get your research right sometime--look up Dragon Quest/Warrior (1986 as opposed to 1987 of Final Fantasy) and see exactly what influenced what...

My sister is 15 and for sure is my best friend and is the only person I can talk fandom with. I'm not HUGE into the yaoi pairings, but my equivalent to that is all the hentai I look at, which causes her to sigh at me sometimes. >.>;

And although I'm totally not into incest pairings, I always thought that if we were in a fandom, people would probably ship us. ESPECIALLY because she's an artist and I'm a writer.And the fact that people have mistaken us for lesbian mothers (to our little brother) in real life too. XD

Wait okay, I don't get it. I don't have much of a stance on Sakura (from the episodes I saw she was okay, I liked her well enough), but I don't get why you shouldn't hate a character and be mad at the author instead. I mean it's not like Sakura is a real person. How the author designed her is WHO SHE IS. That is HER CHARACTER. She's not a pre-existing person who was poorly portrayed by an author. If an author can't write female characters and his character sucks, then what's the problem with hating the character for that reason? Does that make sense?

21)...Right then, hate to rain on your parade but as prestigious as FF is, it's not the GOD of all RPGs, and it wasn't the first RPG. I say this as an FF fan, but seriously, why let it bug you people are making comparisons--it's arguably the most popular RPG stateside, some people just wanted something to compare to. Not everyone's going to like it, and a lot of people don't...

And yeah...sadness at the fact that you think that's our 'roots'--our 'roots' if we go video game wise, is Pong.

More influential than Dragon Quest? Really? It's pretty popular, but tell me what it's inspired and changed in the general video game world before FFVII. I dare you. I dare you to tell me that Earthbound, Shin Megami Tensei, Phantasy Star, and anything else was inspired by FF. You know what was actually influential? D&D games.

20. When someone writes a character and simply can't bear the thought of anyone else touching him, I assume it's a Gary Stu. I'm not judging, I have characters like that myself, but I'm sure as hell not going to try to publish their stories, because I know I can't be objective enough to make hard decisions about them. If I'm that protective of a character, I'd rather just keep him all to myself.

I don't feel as though you were wrong for calling him Raito. :)

Even though the creators did mention the fact that his name is technically "Light," the english word ALSO technically doesn't exist in the Japanese language. So...calling him Raito would definitely be okay, in my honest opinion, because you'd be preserving the phonetics.

(Besides, my cousin or any other Japanese person I've spoken to about Death Note definitely doesn't say "Light" ... XD It ends up as some form of "Raito" anyway.)
