EDIT: Ok, and now I've had a chance to get that off my chest, I want to say I kind of feel that same way. I'm always trying to get my friends and family to read the book because I really feel it'll change some of their outlooks on life in general. I think the themes and concepts expressed in the book are very intelligent and should be something that every should learn.

If everyone in the world read Good Omens, I think the world would be a lot more peacefull place.

But that's just hopeful thinking on my part, I bet.

Although you're a little excessive, I'd have to agree with a lot of the points. I've met so many people who think Japan is the best place in the world and I just can't figure out why.

Japan is just as screwed up, if not more so than the U.S. in the things that I'd find aggravating to live with daily. The xenophobia and homophobia (both of which, on average, is more prevalent than in the U.S.) and the treatment of anime and video game fans would drive me insane. Not to mention the incredibly, incredibly strict adherence to 'tradition', which I dislike in any place.

I don't hate ShizNat, not at all, I just have how people act like it's the only ship in the whole Mai Project. Everytime people at my forum imply that they're going to watch the next Mai series for ShizNat and that only, or something to that tune, I have to repress the urge to stab them with Nao's Element until they scream like pigs.

08. Aww, that makes me sad to hear. This was my first year doing Yuletide as well, and I ended up having to default. But it had absolutely nothing with disliking the request or anything like that! I was solely to blame, and I'm sure it's the same thing for your writer. So don't beat yourself up over it, cause it makes me feel like crying to think that my recipient might've felt the same way. That said, I'm writing a whole bunch of Yuletide Treats -- because I want to, and also to sorta make up for defaulting (not that it's gonna get me unbanned or anything, but still) -- so, uhm, if you tell me which number your pinch hit was I will try to write you something? Provided I know the fandom or can familiarize myself with it real fast, that is.

15. I love them too, and I will also always ship them -- so far I'm totally with you. However, Van is not to blame for "letting her go". I personally think it was more her decision than his (and that he let her leave for altruistic reason; because he thought she'd be happier back on earth), but that's just my opinion. Truth is, they both let go of each other... but not for bad reasons, and certainly nothing either of them should be cursed for.

Awww, that's sweet of you :) But don't worry about it, since I'm guessing my assigned pitch hitter uploaded something for me already, as I don't see my requests at the treats page anymore. Besides, by your profile I can't really tell if you know any of the fandoms I requested, so no sweat. I still got at least one story, so I'm not complaining ^^ Heck, it's even better this way because I qualify for stuffers and might get more before the New Year thing. I just... wonder what happened to my original Santa, that's all.
