Since your main reason for going to Japan in the first place was because of fandom, doesn't that make you one of the 'wapanese' fanbrats you're complaining about? Just because you went there idolizing Japan and the Japanese and were met with a different reality than what you found in manga (gasp! anime/manga =/= reality) doesn't mean the whole country should disappear.

I don't know where in the west you live, but the western world is still largely prejudiced, homophobic, and chauvinistic in general. I don't know why you'd go to any country thinking it was an idealized place.

2. I haven't even gotten or finished the last 2 Phoenix Wright games (i asked my mom to get them for me for Xmas :P), but DAMN I want this one so bad... even though I hate what happened to Phoenix in it....

You know, a lot of pretty terrible things can be applied to the US as well. compared to the rest of the world, Japan isn't that bad. sure you can hate on them, but look at America. we've got our shitty stereotypes, our president's a dumbfuck, and look at our school system. srsly. just because we do it different doesn't mean we do it better.

Not that i'm a weeaboo or anything, but i can't speak for Japan as i haven't been there. also lol@international wank.

I dunno how Japanese people treat foreigners since most people can't tell that I'm Japanese-Korean and have never lived in Japan [ except for like 1 1/2 years when I was a baby ] but I generally found life in Japan... okay, but I would prefer a big city in America.
Japanese people are much more narrow-minded and conservative, in general.
The best place to be in Japan is Tokyo.
Everywhere else really isn't that great.
Except customer service and stuff, people are SO MUCH politer.
I went shopping for jeans, and oh what an experience it was!
The person was so nice, oh my god.
And when I got a great new haircut!

I agree with you, but honestly, I think everywhere's fucked up. The only reason people want to go other places so much is that the fucked up of another place isn't the one they grew up with, lived in, dealt with their entire life. It's kind of like the air's poisoned everywhere, and there aren't many real choices, so some people just pick one poison over another since they can snark at or poke at one better, since they have more of an affinity to it themselves, whatever. *shrug*

I smile every time I see a Weiss Kreuz secret posted, extra points if the secret is about Schwarz.

Schwarz doesn't get much characterization in the anime, so you might be disappointed if you watch the show. However, I enjoyed the series, crappy animation aside, because of the Japanese voice actors (especially Schuldig's and Yohji's). Oh, and because the plotlines are utter crack.

The reason I like writing about the characters is because the anime doesn't develop them, so I can use my imagination. If your secret references the RP I'm thinking of, I loved the writing there.

39. love WK, but you are sooo not missing much. to watch the series and still like it afterwards, is to be able to mock it mercilessly. i think the only reason it even has/had such a great fandom is that we saw the potential. back in the day, dinosaurs time when you had to get fansub tapes from somewhere, most of us were in fandom but never seen the series. oddly, i think that made for better fic. hell, we're more consistent then Koyasu sometimes.
