There literally isn't a single reason this could ever be a good idea. Every aspect of Sherlolly becoming canon will make the show worse.

I'm assuming you're a Sherlolly shipper and want to see your pairing in the show (as so many other shippers of non-canon stuff do), in which case... eh. It is an understandable wish. But not a particularly reasonable one.

I'm with you OP! It would be glorious. And they've already screwed up everything else in the show so it would be no big surprise if they screwed up by going down that road as well. I bet Molly would get sick of him pretty fast though. Maybe she'd dump him and he could "process" a failed love affair all introspective-like and drive John loony.

It's more than that, though. One can ship something and not want or need it to be canon. This is about wanting the show to go a certain way.

I understand the appeal - she loves him even when he's a dick and is willing to call him out when necessary, I prefer Molly remain Sherlock's friend. He needs allies more than he needs a lover.

That whole "willing to call him out" was a relatively late development, though. I'd be happier if she'd been less of a fangirl doormat in the beginning.

I don't want them happen simply because how badly Sherlock treats her. Maybe a relationship that totally destroys her fascination with him would be good.

Or maybe I just find Sherlock super annoying. When John beat the crap out of Sherlock on S3E1, I was cheering him on like crazy.

If it's because you genuinely ship Sherlolly, then hey, cool, you're no different than every other shipper that wants their ship to be canon!

If it's because you want to stick it to Johnlockers, well...I get that some of them are fairly obnoxious, but you're being fairly obnoxious yourself, which just makes the entire fandom just a little bit worse.

(For the record, I'm a casual fan and I don't ship anything.)
