Sometimes fanart (though I don't know why for that one, I'm a rather subpar artist), but it's mostly for videos. AMVs, fandubs, that sort of thing. I was also pretty big on the RP scene a few years ago as Usagi.

Agree to the nth degree. I love all the psychological issues and plot twists and wordplay and characters in Loveless that it pains me to see it sold by fans to other fans as shota. D:

Wow. Lots of ship opposing ship secrets following one another in this post.

1. That's too bad. I have no idea who to BNFs in Sailor Moon are because I never paid attention, so I probably don't know who you are. If that's the kind of fellow BSSM fan you're looking for, feel free to poke me sometime.

Haha, it's not *too* difficult in a couple parts--Himuro has some gay porn mags in his apartment when they go to investigate his disappearance. Ironically, it's Osenai who discovers them, and only gives them a quick, disgusted glance. The "Sold your body to Himuro" line therefore refers to Osenai literally having sexual relations with Himuro to get what the Chairman wanted from him. His reaction to Paprika in that scene kind of cements that, haha.

Him and the chairman both share a bed during their sessions with the DC mini (which, none of the other characters have)--Paprika also mentions that Osenai has an Oedipus complex when it comes to the chairman... Which leads me to believe that the Chairman could see Osenai's obsession with Chiba and used it to his advantage. The "sharing a body" could be a metaphor for sex--the "When the two become one" line the chairman screams as he's sucked into that black hole kind of alludes to that as well, but that's just theory on my part.

There's more, I think, but I'm drawing a blank. In any case, that's something to keep an eye out for, if you ever want to watch it again! Sorry for the bit of... er, rambling. Haha~

All this talking about it makes me want to watch it again... ug.

I disliked it so much because:

a) The female is the epitome of dumb horror movie girl (Tho at least she has a some what real motivation)

b) I'm very much a fan of things be so much better if you DON'T show them, and it was doing so good...till the end. (But then again, that's not something that the video game lovers should hate I'd imagine. That's more personal)

Subtext is, again, slight but there: mainly involving the two credits scenes with Adrian. Both times, they show Franziska reaching out to her in a way she really doesn't do to anybody else. Whether it's of guilt or whatever, being protective, it's a bond between the two. I interpret it as romantic. Other people might not~

25 - generalization strikes again. She's got a bad reputation already and people can't stop seeing her as such. That sucks big-time.

37. Jesus, I know exactly how you feel, trust me. Next to all of my OTPs are totally unrecognized. Just...hang in there. Eventually (and it might take awhile) someone will jump out and be like, "Oh hey, I love this pairing! I didn't think anyone wrote it!" And then you will have someone to talk to. :D

6 - Loveless is awesome, psychologically messed-up, and knows it is. Heck, all the characters know the others are messed up; they just don't see it in themselves. It always pisses me off when people who haven't read it say they don't want to because they read a chapter or two and decided that the mangaka "doesn't know" how skeevy it is.

19 - I really like Kairi, and I don't get where people think she doesn't have a personality (though I've ranted about that in the comments to another post, I think the one about the "yamato nadeshiko" characters), and I'm not a fan because she has haters -- I was a fan before I knew her reputation in fandom at all (I'm a fan because she's the good girl type but also the delinquent type -- rolled up sleeves, ditching school to run around with the boys, determined to catch up and keep growing). That said, if your friends would judge you or dislike you over your feelings on a fictional character? You need new friends, seriously. People's feelings on characters are personal taste, and people's ability to read cues also varies (I found some other characters 'dull as dirt' until I saw other people's takes on them and the cues they read from their behaviour as leading to depth, and got a new look at them). Judging anyone based on that? It sounds like your flist is pretty immature. Hopefully you're just misjudging them!

35. It's what won me over too. I was a vague OT3-shipper and distant fan around Kh1-time, but I didn't fall in love with the games and all the little ways they poke at depth until Kh2 came out and Roxas and Axel tore my heart out. And I'm grateful for it!

41. But so much of it WAS like the game, that's why a lot of people liked it! The overall plot was different, but everything but the plot was done right. Out of all the FAIL game-to-movie adaptations, this one was the best, I think.

I admit that I started watching the Loveless anime when it was coming out for two reasons mostly: Soubi being an eyecandy and the young-boy/grown-up relationship I thought it was about.

I stopped thinking that by the second ep. By the third ep I was searching everywhere for the manga. By now? Sometimes I have to remind myself that I should probably put a warning on my fics if I'm having Soubi and Ritsuka kissing, since I've more or less come to associate Ritsuka as the more grown up one.

Loveless is, as you say, MUCH more than just a 'shota-manga' or just eyecandy. While I did come for those reasons, I stayed for the issues it handles.

So cuddles to you! There are sane fans! Or. Well. At least fans who share your point of view.

47- Plenty of people love the epilogue. Just because the negative opinions are the loudest, doesn't mean that the majority hate it. You shouldn't be ashamed to admit you love it. If they can bitch with no shame, you should be able to have a positive opinion with no shame. And for the record every person I've talked to IRL (as in outside of fandom) about the epilogue has really liked it. Just remember that fandom/internet opinions \=\ the general public a lot of the time.
