33. maybe they just like them together? it doesn't always have to be about the subtext. besides, subtext is subjective. just because they see it doesn't mean it's there. you may not be missing anything because it's not something you're interested in to begin with.

I don't ship it (although I do think the two of them would be great together) but I CAN see it happening.

I've only played the first two games so far (working through the third right now, on case no 3) but with what canon has given us to work off, it is entirely possible for Franziska and Adrian to happen.

(JFA SPOILERS AHEAD YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED)

Adrian, especially in JFA is a very very insecure person. She's unsure of herself, scared, and codependent. She connects to the strong people in her life because she doesn't have that strength of her own and she feels the need to get it from somewhere or someone to make herself believe that she's not worthless.
She saw that kind of strength in her mentor, Celeste. She idolised her, respected her, and some argue that maybe she loved her too. After Celeste killed herself, Adrian was so lost that she didn't think her own life was worth living either and also attempted to kill herself.
And then Franziska came along. Despite being much younger than Adrian, she is strong, determined, stubborn and has done things that are worth being admired for. Exactly the kind of person that Adrian could hang on to, to give her strength and belief in herself.
If you are one of those people that believes Adrian loved Celeste then it also stands to reason that it's entirely possible she could love Franziska too.

On Franziska's side. she's a brilliant social engineer and almost an expert in manipulation and getting what she wants. If Adrian did indeed love her, then it wouldn't exactly be hard for her to make her believe that she loved her too, even if she didn't.

Of course, I don't picture any relationship between the two as being stable, or fluffy, or romantic. I picture it as a BDSM Master/slave relationship because at that point in canon, Adrian is the kind of person that would give herself up entirely to the one person in the world that she felt could give her any kind of strength and belief in herself.

How do I know so much about Adrian and how her mind works? I used to be just like her. I know that if I was in her situation, I would latch on to and yes, maybe even love Franziska. I realise I'm not the character herself, but I saw a lot of myself in her. And not just because she's the hottest character in the game ;)

tl:dr - It works because of their personalities, and even though it's not explicitly stated in canon, it's not entirely impossible either.

I agree with most of this, except I think that there could be romance. Mainly because Franziska is... very stunted emotionally, and it would take someone as patient and affectionate as Adrian to possibly bring her out of that. Yes, you're right, it could end up very bad, but it could also end up very good and the two of them would balance each other out.

19. Yeah, I was never a mad fan of her myself, didn't hate her, but she was quite boring. But I never saw evidence of uber-Kairi love in the fandom. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places..?

31. I have this to an extent, I suppose it's more a case that I create what they could be in my head, so by the time it actually happens, it doesn't go how I thought and disappoints me. Although that ain't their fault. Doesn't always happen, but it happens. Subtext adheres to my over-active imagination =D

25. No, Rinoa had potential. She could have been cool. But the writers were dead set on making her Squall's princess--the one he must save. So much so that they were willing to make the other characters look incompetent to achieve that (so she unfortunately didn‘t get the opportunity to grow and become less annoying). I still remember that part where Galbadia (sp?) attacks Balamb, and she's hanging from the cliff. Zell can't save her? Really? He's a seeD but still has to find Squall? Really? So damn lame.

I admit, some of it is my theorizing, but there was the line Paprika said to Osenai about selling his body to Himuro for the DC Mini. If you notice, there's a shot when they're in Himuro's apartment where it shows Osenai examining some magazines on a shelf--they're homosexual porn mags. I thought it was awesomely ironic that Osenai was the one to be seen in the shot with them.

Just a cool thing to keep your eye out for. :)

45. Whatever rumours you've heard about "what's gonne happen to KH from now on", don't listen to them. Nomura never said Sora's not gonna have the top spot anymore. Hell, he never said anything about KH3 or even if he's gonna make it or not. 358/2 Days and Birth By Sleep are just spin-off games to expand the KH universe and the different main characters aren't there to 'replace' Sora. So cheer up. If there's gonna be a KH3, I'm sure Nomura knows people would want to see Sora back. :)

It would have been nice to see some difficulty in the relationship between her and Shigure, wouldn't it have been? Much as I love the Shigure/Akito, I think that will get a lot of problems and it couldn't have been resolved that easily. Akito would be a pretty hard-headed person, even if she wanted to submit completely, I think her old traits would pop out from time to time.
