21. Me too. During the whole series, I was aching for them to get together. Once they finally did, I wasn't happy and that confused me. They weren't happy and silly anymore. Suddenly, their relationship was all serious and angsty. That's one anime/manga that I just wished had an open ending. It just didn't feel right for them to not be only friends. (And I felt bad for Toji...) Then again, maybe the ending was just BAD in general...

I didn't want them to get together from the start but when they did finally get together, I really hoped that it would stay happy and silly. Then Ryo came in, Kairi's personality did a 180, and Momo went back to Toji because he was there (or at least seemed like that). It was just painful to read the last four volumes or so. The Sae/Ryo story was the only thing that made the last volumes worth reading for me, which was really disappointing.

Naru Narusegawa's the kind of girl who probably gets bashed six ways from Sunday for being a mean nasty bitch, and I always stick up for heroines no matter what their flaws, but I hated Naru. Sometimes you just can't find it in yourself to defend a character because to you, they really are annoying.

Like I said, they're not all that similar in personality, but there are parallels with the whole "fairy tale prince/real world girl" thing, and with being the "other" couple as opposed to the main couple. Plus while Nancy never actually behaved in a villainous manner, she still gave me kind of a "reformed villain" vibe, given that her surname is the same as Cinderella's evil stepmother in a movie full of deliberate Disney references. XD

Plus, you know, it's a really cute and fun movie. So do watch it if you can. ^^

16. I don't think that's ridiculous. Frankly, I think those are the best reasons to ship a strange pairing: because you saw something that made you think, and then you analyzed their dynamic and saw where it can go, and now you ship it. Good for you! I never cared for Kyouya/Haruhi but I have to admit the picture made me ♥

19. I'm not a fan of Kairi either -- I don't hate her, but I don't find her interesting in the situations we get canonically with her. I think she could be a lot more interesting (what would she have thought about Roxas?) but we don't get those situations. Sigh.

25. You make an excellent point about Rinoa, I just wanted to say. It's not that she's an irredeemable character, but that she's an immature character, and that goes away. But everyone else acted like she was the best thing on earth. Bleeeh.

35. I wholly sympathize. Axel/Roxas is a beautiful, touching friendship, and tragic. The tragedy kills me.

36. I think Sora/Roxas is nifty. I really enjoy them as (NOT THE SAME) characters and their personalities mesh interestingly. I enjoy roleplaying them for the story a friend and I are working on -- although Sora has the Mysterious Knowledgable Character advantage there.

Yes, yes, they are. :) They are the original dust jackets of the first editions, a complete set of which I am first in line to inherit (you know, hopefully many, many years in the future but one day they will be mine). Aren't they just the awesomest books ever?

Yeah, I was really disappointed that he wasn't in the movie more, just because he was such a complex character that they could've done so much more with him than they did.

I agree that the chairman definitely came off as more homosexual than Osenai--I actually don't think he was really all that gay to begin with. I think the chairman caught him while he was down and struck then. That is, I think Osenai became so obsessed with his own looks and insecurities (that stemmed from Chiba's love for Tokita and not him) that the Chairman told him what he wanted to hear, and from there things just went downhill.
