True enough. Coupled with the arguments about the New World and Deep Jungle being extremely similar, which would have eventually gotten boring. :/ There's no reason they couldn't have had Wonderland alongside the New World, though, since there were several worlds that didn't have Princess of Hearts in them.

Well I don't deny there are plenty of straight guys in fandom, but this reads like a fangirl fapping about slash potential and just writing themselves as a straight guy to "pull in the rating".

6: You have a good point after all, you know, the old saying about 'assumption'. Also, I find making judgments on some stranger who made a 400 X 600 jpg is pretty damn silly, even for the internet.

4: [enabler mode] Just do it. I'm slightly afraid of winning AND losing, so you're better off than I am. And don't be too sure that you'll never find a good rival(s) in these contests.

25. Nah, you're not alone. Everyone I know thinks Princess!Alice was a poor choice, although the Japanese are obsessed with Alice in Wonderland, so... maybe that's the explanation for that?

33. Bleh, Jade/Dist. So many better pairings for Jade (and I say that as someone who didn't actually like him until, uh, earlier today) -- Jade and Peony, or older!Anise... And, in my opinion, the only really interesting bit of Dist that I recall was learning that he was so lonely that Anise kept him company during lunch, and he appreciated her kindness so much that he built her Tokunaga.

Dist+Anise >>> Jade/Dist? It just doesn't interest me is the bottom line, sorry for the random opinions. XD

3. There's enough genuine reasoning (pfft, let's face it- MORE than enough!) for the shippers to not be seen as people who just jump on bandwagons. You shouldn't worry; while not quite as perfect as people make out, the PW fandom is too awesome to worry about something like that.

Agreed wholeheartedly on 31's part, by the way. Not entirely on 17's (but Patti LuPone and Michael Cerveris were AMAAAAZING ♥) I don't think I'm a better fan, just...more educated. Doesn't make me better than anyone else :[
What breaks my heart more than anything is that they went for star power instead of vocal power - anything written by Sondheim is NOT something you can half-ass like that. It's too intricate, complicated, and fucking BRILLIANT.

Yeah, I don't think I'm better, really. I'm just someone who has liked Sondheim for most of my life, and Sweeney Todd in particular. I know the shows well and I used to sing myself, so I at least have a little bit of that background.

And it just... it makes me sad. They could have done lovely things with it, and to me it just sounded dumbed down and half-assed (except for Toby, he was awesome). I don't object to the changes, even, it's changing things without doing better and more interesting things instead. :( Agreed on the whole star-power angle too. The unknowns were all more bearable than the big names in the cast.
