31 - YES! THANK YOU! Sing and shout your hate, I'll happily join in, loud and clear. There was no soul in that damn movie. I walked out of the theater after 'A Little Priest' and went home to blast the original soundtrack. Such a waste of $8. It would have been worth it if the beggar woman had turned up the way she did...

Tim Burton hasn't made a truly classic movie since Nightmare Before Christmas-- if anyone disagrees, I gotta remind them that Corpse Bride has a fandom so small it's easy to forget he did that movie.

Tim's just lost his edge. He makes things that are pretty but not really... poetic.

That... is a really good point. Pocahontas is actually a princess, while Alice is... just a girl. I was really confused to see Alice numbered as a princess in the game.

I suppose they did it as an excuse to make Wonderland one of the worlds.

I don't think there's a strict correlation between being an actual princess and being a Princess of Heart, there's several examples of girls who are one but not the other. And Alice and Wonderland fill a role in the story and plotline that Pocahontas and her world... kind of wouldn't.

I find Jade/Dist about as plausible as Guy/Asch, but I let fans of both pairings do whatever they like. I think I have a hunch as to who you're talking about.

Still, the pairing isn't even that big. Stop acting like it is.

Um, dude, I don't know what posts you're referring to, but it sounds like they were probably being dicks about it and deserved a little "cry moar" snark. If they had just said, "Hey, don't care for that pairing," nobody would think twice. Nobody's that important on the interwebs.

I think it's less that they didn't consider Pocahontas worthy and more that there wasn't really a good way to integrate that movie? I mean you have to admit, it would be pretty difficult to find a place to stick the Heartless in and you can't exactly go around stabbing Indians and settlers. I guess they could have had her as one of the Princesses who doesn't show up in the main story worlds, but eh. I agree that it's messed up, I just can kind of see why they made that decision too.

6. Thank you! I'm probably guilty as well, but I'm usually a bit bothered by how mean people can be about pairing secrets. It's just an opinion someone has that they really need to tell people without having to justify-and-convert the other camp. Personally, I think the "lol whut" comments are just down-right mean, the way they just dismiss someone else's strongly felt opinion in a cruel and casual way. That whole "Lol whut? Don't you have a life?" is just...stupid, ignorant, and rude. And it reminds me the way my entire class treated me all through grade school.

...and now I'm wide open, sure.

I'm all for more gay/lesbian characters, where appropriate. By which I don't mean that "Oh, that's inappropriate!" but more that making a character gay for the sake of there being a gay character is just...lame. If a character's straight, it should be relative to the story. If a character's gay, it should be relative to the story.
Also, Torchwood. I like it, but honestly, what are the odds?

First of all, I believe the word you're searching for is "relevant."

Second of all, I know you think that you think that, but be honest with yourself: when was the last time you complained about a character being portrayed as straight because it wasn't "relative to the story"?

24. Me too. I wish so many of them didn't get the hackjob treatment when they were dubbed. Magical girl anime could still do well, but sadly there's nowhere for it on TV uncut. Every fangirl goes "lol put it on adult swim!! ^_^", but Adult Swim would probably run an Assy McGee/Squidbillies back-to-back marathon before they aired a magical girl series. I hope PPGZ isn't torn apart when it's dubbed. :(

31. I find Sweeney Todd as captivating as a bag of rice, but my best friend had a part in a high school production of the play and loved it to bits. She went and saw the movie and loved it just as much. (Of course, she was proposed to during that movie, but that seriously had nothing to do with her opinion.) There's nothing wrong with liking one version over the other. The movie might even get more people interested in the play.

33. That's a really hard pairing for me to see as well. I can see it being unrequited from Dist's side, in a really fucked up way if you take canon timeline, but... from Jade's side? Uh. :/ I will give whoever can make me believe this pairing a billion Internets, because, while I don't like to believe a pairing is 'impossible', I just can't see this one actually... getting anywhere.

And Sweeney Todd fans just need to cry moar. Some people knew about it before the movie came out but just never got a chance to see a stageshow beforehand, and thus the movie was (not for lack of trying!!) the first time they experienced it. Geez. :/

I thought it should have been Pocahontas instead of Alice when I first played KH. I mean, Alice isn't a bad person or anything, but there's nothing about her role in Wonderland (or even Kingdom Hearts) that is really noble or pure-hearted. And the art made me favor Pocahontas, too.

Then I played KH2 and I am glad they picked Alice instead of Pocahontas, after seeing what they did to Mulan's story. I mean, Mulan was actually shown as a skilled fighter in the movies, and yet she seemed like such a dead weight in the game. I don't want to know what they would have done to Pocahontas, who is shown having bravery but not any displayed fighting skills in the movies. She very likely wouldn't even have been a playable character--it'd likely be John Smith on your team with his big rifle, and maybe the raccoon as a summon (or the spirits of the land???) and Sora and Smith race to rescue Pocahontas, now a damsel-in-distress after Ratcliffe kidnaps her as part of his evil plot.

Not. Interested. (I like Sora, but he just seems to take too big a role in the worlds sometimes. D:)
