The funny thing is: I honestly think they tried very hard not to offend anyone (the whole safeword/consent discussion, being able to ask the trans NPC all kinds of deep and thoughtful questions about it, having a whole character mission revolve around "my parents don't accept my sexuality" etc.) and it STILL backfired.

But that reminds me of the cartoon someone from a newspaper drew - blank space and the title "Enjoy you completely unoffensive, politically correct cartoon" and as soon as it found its way on tumblr, people managed to get offended at a blank space. That's pretty much tumblr in a nutshell.

Really? I always had the impression that the kink-meme mod encouraged this whole "overly sensitive snowflake" attitude the fandom has. Like, (at least when I went there a while back) any and all criticism, may it be as constructive as it could be, was forbidden, even if the author explicitely asked for it. And what counts as character bashing on there is really, really OTT.

Same. I'd understand if people didn't like Keller as much as Carson (though I preferred Keller, tbh, even though I liked them both) but I didn't get why people hated her as much as they did. And I never got the Elizabeth hate. Then again, she was my favorite so it's unlikely I'd understand why people disliked her.

I love Keller, but I did not care for Keller/McKay for the exact reason you mention. I can sort of understand why the writers would want to pair them up because they do have a lot in common, but once they saw that the actors didn't have that kind of romantic/sexual chemistry, they should've dropped it and gone back to Ronon/Keller.

Honestly she does need to get a doctor's advice and clearance on exercise but it sounds like that isn't happening. So best course is to simply rest and take it easy. Be patient! You want to nurse the foot, let it heal before you head off again.

Yeah omg! When I started inquisition I realized my male elf could flirt with Cullen, and so I got excited, like maybe he's an option after all... after a couple suave moves on my Inquisitor's part, Cullen friendzoned me. Argh! Finding out that they even recorded lines for a male inquisitor is what really kills me, too. Maybe a mod can restore the romance or something?

Not the only one. Teyla/Keller is my favorite Keller ship and my second favorite Teyla ship, after Teyla/Elizabeth.

I did notice that the Inquisitor doesn't get many (any?) options to say they understand Krem and such, they are all questioning his situation. Of course they are optional, but yeah. I mean, I suppose it's almost definite that any given Inquisitor probably hasn't met a trans person before and possibly never even heard of it, but still the player can headcanon any backstory they like. Even that their own Inquisitor is trans.

I am to pick up my vacuum today from the repair shop! Didn't you ask about vacuum's last week? I don't think I responded.

Basically, don't do something stupid like vacuum up water softener salt in the garage because you don't want your mom's freshly washed car driving on top of it. (The water softener had broke and spewed out road salt into the garage)...

The good news it that the vacuum did it's job! Bad news it got clogged. Good news is that I e-mailed the company asking for help and they directed me to a local repair shop. Good news it that since the salt wasn't wet it didn't damage the motor so it should cost about $100 to repair. Which actually I am fine with and I get to pick up a working vacuum today!

Oh it is a Dyson DC17 something or whatever that works and I am happy with and don't have to mess with bags. Except you do have to deal with the dust that flies out when you empty the stuff into the bin. Small price to pay.

Have you figured out your vacuum situation?

My understanding is it was a Gary Stu wish-fulfillment thing on the writers' part (they talked about it openly and were rabid fans of Kaylee) but it really wasn't fair to ask it of the actors because, yeah, there was laughably bad sexual/romantic chemistry there. I can't watch the scenes where they're literally face mashing because it gives me an embarrassment squick.

Jennifer had good chemistry with Sam Carter in Trio that was kind of adorable as well, but, well.

There are recorded lines for bi-Solas as well and it made me so sad that you didn't get that romance in the game. I'm not sure if the few soundfiles that are on the internet are all that's there or if there is more - I think if it's not all in the files, restoring the romance would be difficult.

Tbh Draco being a coward is the thing that I like the most about him and I wish we get to see a more personal side of him. Lonely tortured heroes are a dime a dozen, a story about a true coward who gets in over his head then struggle to realize his own shortcoming and redeeming himself is one I would like to see.

Things have been pretty exciting since Game Over, and though I'm not really satisfied with Vriska being brought back to life (there are so may characters with so many potential and the Serkets have lots of screentime) I'll eagerly await the end of this pause. Have the fandom decided on the name of the pause? I personally like Microterapause.
