Sorry, OP. I think he's sometimes funny and sometimes really not. Not sure why you think he's a psychopath, though. I've never seen him as all that creepy.

I think he sometimes seems annoying, but not creepy. He can be funny though. I'll never get over his Golden Globes opening speech. That was amazing.

I don't agree at all, but I did once get a "...wow" when a friend showed me a clip of one of his shows and asked for my opinion.

Also, I'm still annoyed at The Invention of Lying after all these years and it's the closest time I come to being offended as a Christian. I'm fine with "sky pixie" or "sky fairy", I'm fine with suggesting that a flying spaghetti monster makes just as much sense, I'm fine with any expression of disdain you want to make, but for some reason the "old man in the sky" thing really annoys me. I've been trying to figure out why for years but I still don't know.

I am extremely put off by him. I find him annoying and often times offensive as fuck (like the above thread with his brand of atheism). He's also made several fucked up rape and abuse jokes, AND APPARENTLY it's all okay because he's "pro-women" now. No thank you. I'm all for giving credit to those who apologize and try to do better after saying shitty things, but he's arrogant and backhanded as fuck when it comes to his "doing his part to make it better".

Ricky Gervais has made me consider voting UKIP! Because they support old fashioned values, and under their rule we could have Gervais burnt as a witch. You can't listen to him without knowing he did something deeply wrong as part of a deal with demons to gain his popularity. It is so obvious from his voice and general manner he's a major creeper and needs to be purified with the lord's fire. Vote UKIP, they'll bring back witch burnings just for this.

Nah, OP. Gervais falls into a very specific and not uncommon category of elitist atheist asshole along with people like Richard Dawkins. They're not good human beings, but it's a long way from being a serial killer.

I think Gervais is funny-ish though he does have his problems (like pretty much every comedian, in my experience). Not sure what he's done to make him a "douchey atheist" though. Sometimes I feel like atheist aren't even allowed to talk about atheism without immediately being labeled douchebags.
