35. I rarely like female characters in my fandoms, as well. And whenever I do, it's mostly just tollertating them, rather than actually liking them.

42. I usually hate OT3s, too. I only like them when the two men are brothers. (I know, sick, right?) Otherwise I always want to ditch the third person (and nine times out of ten, that third person's the chick. XD)

This is probably going to start wank, but I agree with 35. I'm into anime fandoms where the only 'strong' female characters are unfeeling automatons with big boobs and bigger guns :(

Somewhere along the way, I think people confused 'strong character' with 'has a lot of firepower'. I'd take a complex but effeminate, stereotypically 'weak emotional woman' over the all-too-perfect gun-slinging bad asses.

16. Oh, me too. Not that picture or even that fandom, but- I hate that sort of thing in general, just because it's so overdone. I don't have a problem with it in canon storylines (i.e. Loveless and Elfen Lied.) but when there are no cat ears, or things that look like cat ears... why?

but-! There has been one exception, that I just found far too adorable to ignore. So, long story short - I know exactly what you mean.

I have to agree with #35, even though lots of commenters thought it was a troll or a misogynist! Most women characters I've encountered have been one extreme or the other - a wimpy Disney princess type, or a complete hardass. There are a few normal ones, but there does tend to be a surprising polarization.

7. Who didn't cry at ep 9? I sat there through ther entire thing with tears running down my face. I worry about the same thing, I already have one friend who dismissed it out of hand. It makes me sad because they're missing out on something so good that I think they'll really enjoy because of their ideas about the genre.

4. Yes! Crack is the most amazing, freeing, wonderful thing! I feel awful sometimes, because I know how terribly people would judge me for the things I have the characters do, but it's just so. Much. Fun. Thank you! I'm glad someone else thinks crack!having kids is goddamn excellent.

12. I don't see anything wrong with being proud of what you do and enjoying it. (My God, if you don't find your own smut hot, why bother?) The picture may not be all that great but it might have been a great leap forward for her. You know what I really can't stand is people who are always like, "Oh, this piece sucks so bad, I hate it, I just threw it together, oh, I can't possibly compare to those other fandom goddesses," blah blah blah. It just sounds like fishing for compliments for me, and I don't like feeling like I'm being asked to hold some delicate flower's emotional hand. It's just as much a ploy for attention as "I RULE!" but it's so much more annoying because it doesn't even sound like the person's having any fun.

8. I don't think this can be said enough: learn fiction from reality. For your own sake if no one else's. If you're that enraged over the existance of a fictional character, it's time to step back and take a second look at things, because wow.

10. Oh, god, how many times I've been listening to my music and had to turn of a song before reading or roleplaying smut. :( I know exactly what you mean.

14. Apparently hilarious mispelling aside, three things here: for one, if you want to get out of a fandom or a style, just quit it. If your boyfriend can't understand, there's a problem there. Two, if you dislike furries now, and your boyfriend is one... um? This leads straight into number three-- I get really put off ANYTIME I hear someone say that someone else "opened their eyes" and made them stop liking something that they really enjoyed before. Given the fact that you now "dislike furries," and yet your boyfriend is one and you don't seem to have a problem with THAT, this seems like you're trying to change yourself because you don't want other people to think you're stupid or bad. Like whatever you like, and be honest about it; don't stop liking furry and anthro just because haters flailed their arms and went "ZOMG THIS IS WRONG AND SICK AND LAME AND FAIL," and if you really don't like it anymore, don't just play along with someone who should care about you enough not to care if you don't like it anymore.

18. People who decide to like or hate or give something a try or not just to piss someone off are always fail, but a boyfriend? I'm glad you broke it off with him, hon. :3 Brava.

See, I don't agree with this, and I'm not even a 6996 fan-- if nothing else, even ignoring all the small hints that Mukuro in some way does care about his subordinates, Tsuna's got that Vongola intuition. He knows when to trust and when not to trust people. To be honest, if that was all there was to Mukuro, Tsuna wouldn't have gotten the "that's not all..." reaction when Mukuro told him that he just wanted to win in the Varia arc. There's more to Mukuro than that, and he obviously does have feelings for Ken, Chikusa, and Chrome-- even if they're twisted ones, because he is a twisted boy.

Also, if nothing else, one-sided makes sense if only because of Chrome's total and utter belief in him-- the Future Arc proved that, though it also showed that she believed in Ken and Chikusa as well, as the three of them as a whole protecting her-- and in the same way, while it's obvious that Ken and Chikusa resent her for not being Mukuro, they're still there for her when the chips are down. The four seem to not be loyal or caring, but I think there are layers there that are really easy to discount.

Plus, on a final note, if you're going to have Ken/Chrome, you have to get past the fact that he pretty much ignores, discards, insults, and dismisses her all the time anyway. She's not Mukuro, therefore, brashly and out loud at least, she's not important.

34. Nia love! AWESOME. And also lol at the KHR picture (I'm actually starting to really like the female characters there, actually. Future Arc made me like Kyoko, Haru, Bianchi, and I-Pin WAY more than I did. And, needless to say: Lal Mirch. :D)

35. Either a troll, or someone who needs to get better fandoms. I mean seriously. If you're so tired of the power babes, then try a style of manga/anime that doesn't have that type of character. Especially the fandoms where people are saying they went in expecting to hate the female character, but couldn't help loving her. :P

43. Word. Plus, you know... even if something isn't the same, maybe isn't even "as good," that doesn't necessarily mean it sucks. I love the RENT musical, the full stage production, think it's better than the movie even, but I LOVE the movie, think it's wonderfully done, it makes me cry-- and I always "wtf" when people bash the hell out of it for not being the same as the musical.
