i agree! the only problem i had was they could've done a lot better with angel of darkness (and i mean taking out most of the bugs) other than that i love every game they made (both core and crystal dynamics). even legend (with the new story line). i'm sorry ;A; but i am glad there's another Tomb Raider fan out there!

Oh man, there are so many secrets full of fail and unreadability today.

I really hope 8 and 35 are trolls :( The hate in 8 is so creepy, and sry2say, 35? Having trouble liking a lot of female characters because of the stereotypes they're forced into is one thing, and pretty understandable. But hating all (or nearly all) of them? Because acting spirited is seen as "bitchy"? Yeah. Kind of sexist.

4. So long as you don't try to pass your crack RP off as a srs bizness awesome fic or something, knock yourselves out. Fandom is supposed to be fun anyway. (And I don't even like that pairing, or mpreg.)

5. Cute, but...having a crush on a female little sprite thing (???) does not make you bi-confused, really. It just means you're straight and you crush on a little sprite thing. XD

34. I...find female characters in books to be no better or worse than anime/manga ones, on average. I mean, Neil Gaiman, James Alan Gardner, and Tanya Huff, for example, write awesome female characters, but like half a dozen acclaimed sci-fi authors either just write their ideal girlfriends into the story or ignore women entirely.

I think it's just down to what you read or watch within a medium, not entire media.

That said, Nia is awesome and not a Mary Sue, kthx.

37. I haven't gotten to the timeskip yet, but agree ♥ I found her a charming character from the start; sure, she's cliched, but everyone in that show is.

43. Not to stick up for the Broadway elitists, because I think most of them are jackasses...but you can listen to original Broadway cast recordings, or in many cases (including Sweeney Todd!) get DVDs that have been filmed of stage productions. So it's not like your lack of access to Broadway prevents you from, to some degree, enjoying the originals of many shows.

43. Well... those DVDs aren't available everywhere. If you're not in the USA, getting the DVDs might be almost as hard as going to the theater. Yes, there's such thing as online shopping, but a lot of us can't afford the shipping.

Obviously I don't know where the OP is from (for all I know they might be from the USA) but it always gets a bit annoying when people assume that everyone has access to everything.

6: You know what I like? I like platonic bedsharing. Either between lovers who aren't currently horny or friends who are never going to be lovers. There's something very comforting about it. (There was this one SGA story where the main team all had to snuggle together for warmth and there was nothing sexual about it but it was so sweet. And there was fanart! It was yummy.)

I like the pr0n too, but the platonic snuggles are rarer so I cherish them more.

9: Runaways secret yaaaaay! I actually like Karolina/Xavin, but I think it's obvious that's not going to last. The circumstances were against it from the start. And Karolina's always had a thing for Nico, and I think Nico's got a thing for Karolina, she's just never really been sure of her own feelings... Also, yes, not the biggest Ramos fan. I mean, at times he's okay, but I don't think his style suits Runaways at all.

21: Have you seen After Life? It's a seriously good Japanese film about people choosing what to do after they die, and the main male character is the most beautiful person I have ever seen in any film. Drop-dead gorgeous, for realz.

31: DO NOT LET ANNE FIND OUT ABOUT THIS. She will post long, pretentious, incredibly wordy screeds about how you're totally going to Hell. *laughs*

41: He gets so much nicer if you're wooing him! Even though the first time I played the game I found him incredibly annoying, I could never have a party without him. He's a prick, but I love him anyway. And when he's your boyfriend, he's really sweet.

46.) So there's an original story I'm kind of involved with, and in it are two twins, a guy and a girl, who are initially adversaries. They're the sort of twins who are often touching, they've got a sort of pseudo-mental bond, etc. Later, one of them dies, and the other switches sides to make a very long story short. And she starts to respect the hero because he reminds her of her brother and his ideals that he died for.

And for some reason, having someone ship the hero + girl because he reminds her of her brother squicks me out more than someone shipping the twins together. Bizarre, huh?

Angel of Darkness was one of those games that HAD potential, but was victim to too many circumstances. Plus it just didn't *feel* like a Tomb Raider game to me, story-wise.

Not that TR has ever been about the story, but the one thing I do credit Crystal D. for is giving Lara an actual, thought-out personality -instead of off-hand bylines in biographies-, along with her co-stars (especially Natla in 'Anniversary'. I like that she's more cold and calculating than a boisterous hussy).

Core *kinda* had it going in AOD, but it just didn't turn out as I had hoped. That, and you could kinda tell that by that point in time, Core was kinda getting sick of the TR series too.

13. I think you're missing the point with a lot of those characters, but you're not alone in liking Penelo. Balthier's my favorite, and I love pretty much everyone in that game, but I'm particularly fond of Penelo.

43. I agree. I lived in Alaska for 17 years - not exactly a popular destination for touring shows. I did manage to see Phantom of the Opera and Cats, both of which I loved, but other than that, I had movies to feed my hobby. And I love them. Give me the movie version of A Chorus Line, Rent, or Thoroughly Modern Millie any day!

13, I found Penelo to be the easiest to like out of many of the Final Fantasy heroines. :d I mean, she just seemed normal, and wasn't too annoying (from what I've seen) ~ Admittedly though, my favorites in Final Fantasy XII, excluding Penelo (she must be #2...) are Vaan, Balthier and... Larsa and that... Judge... dude... in... hot... armor. I haven't played in a long while :(

Actually, I have seen most of those on Broadway or on a live stage (all except the Sou-... oh no wait, that one, too) and I STILL like the movie versions better. (Especially Sweeney Todd. Keeping in mind that Depp and Bonham Carter aren't singers, their acting blew Lansbury and Cariou/Hearn's out of the water.)

But I don't touch the fandom either, for the same reason. Sweeney Todd fandom is looking like RENT fandom from two years ago ALL over again.
