I think it's sexy, but that may be only because I find him really attractive. It's not his looks (though he's nice-looking and has really good hair), it's his attitude and the way he treats people off the set.

The other guys range from goofy to prickly, but Ruffalo has this earnest niceness in how he appears in public that's really endearing.

Is the whole sterilization thing...

Like, Bruce feels monstrous because he HURT people as the Hulk and couldn't control himself.

And Natasha's response to that is to compare it to how she was forcibly sterilized? Something that was DONE to her?

And given the baggage that women and reproductive rights have, it just really really didn't sit well with me that this is the angle Whedon went.

I just can't imagine an actual woman EVER writing something like that.

but I liked their dynamic in the first movie. She hadn't been fleshed out in the way she was in the Winter Soldier, so she was just shown as this unflappable person. Except with extreme threats, of which he was included. I don't know how it was played with in the movie, but I think her developing feelings for him despite that fear of the Hulk would be interesting.

This secret made me grin. I'm the anon who (jokingly) threatened to respond to all AOU secrets with "Ruffalo is the hottest Avenger", so it's good to see some support.

Also, dude comes out of the shower. I died.

This ship doesn't work for me personally. Now that I've seen the movie, it didn't annoy me nearly as much as Clint's random out of the blue family or the attempts to portray him as the only normal one of the Avengers, but it still didn't work for me as a ship. I think it was partially because we could see that she was still afraid of the Hulk and sometimes that Bruce might Hulk out. She actually works for me with pretty much everyone but Bruce.

Although, what I did hate was her comment about being a monster too in regards to being sterilized. Fuck you, Joss. People who can't have kids or don't want them aren't monsters.

I wouldn't say that M. Ruffalo is hotter than S. Stan. But I get it. Ruffalo himself has one of the most attractive personalities in the cast.

I never thought I would ship them, but I liked them together in the movie. Mostly because Ruffalo is adorkable as Bruce Banner. It was a little out of the blue, though.

And I didn't mind the thing about Natasha's sterilization. I think it's obvious that it wasn't supposed to mean she's a monster because she can't have kids. But I do wish she had also mentioned that her "graduation" involved executing someone!

I cringed during all their scenes together. Not even their hotness could make it bearable.

Haven't seen the film yet but Ruffalo is a cute guy and I'm always happy to see people who love him. (He isn't the Avenger I'm most attracted to, but he's def got some great qualities and he's still nice to look at. I can't fault your taste.)

And Nat is all kinds of hot, so.

Tbh I didn't mind the idea of Bruce/Nat, I ship her with everyone really, but to me the whole thing was just a bit bungled and while there were some scenes between them that worked a lot of it also fell flat. Which is a shame because I think it could have worked better for me.

Too bad it was written like absolute garbage. Natasha claiming she's attracted to Bruce because "all her other friends are fighters" completely diminishes the point of his entire character and his struggle with the Hulk.

Oh, and luring him in to force him into Hulking out when he clearly just wanted to get the hell out of dodge is a shit move.

It kind of reminds me of how I feel about Kili/Tauriel. Completely unnecessary but I still think it's cute and in any other series I would have shipped them. I just hate how the main female character always has to be involved in romance. The first Avengers movie was good about showing Natasha as a part of the team without romance, I kinda wish they kept it like that. It goes back to that gnawing annoyance I have with movies that a woman can never be friends with men and have it remain platonic.

I did notice they have some nice chemistry in the first movie, but nothing I would see as foreshadowing a romance.

But anyways like I said, I don't find the pairing wrong or anything. I don't ship anything involving the Avengers or any Marvel characters. I just hate how everything has to involve romance when I'm searching for good platonic relationships.

I wonder If Natasha attempting to start a relationship with Bruce was her attempt at emotionally compromising him and making him vulnerable to her. Seems legit after the Hulk went on a scary rampage in the first Avengers movies. The thing with her lullaby shows it was working. Go Natasha! :)

Omg yes, I have been so on board with this ship since the first Avengers movie! I love their understanding of each other, and the friction between their trust issues and deep mutual respect. And the fact that I personally think they're the hottest Avengers totally doesn't hurt lol. YANA.
