26. Yes... to this I agree. People who hate drabbles/short fic don't seem to get that they're not meant to be 'epic' and in-depth. It's one thing writing a detailed long-fic with character backstory and development... a total different thing when you write a drabble trying to convey the essence of a character/moment in a limited amount of words.

28. Hah... grammar-porn! That'd be a laugh. But don't you think it's hilarious when someone points out the mistakes? It's great fun... laughing at other peeps expense seems to be mostly what this place is all about.

33. True... it's sad that people can say they're 'In' a fandom without having read/watched the original source material. However, sometimes seeing the enthusiasm of a fanbase can encourage a newbie to go back to the original material... I just wish it happened more often.

40. Won't we all (concerning the squee-ful posting). Yes, it may have some failings... but heck it makes good TV! Plus, JB and JM on one program? Honestly, who could ask for more? And yay for it having finally started here in the UK... and the first episode being blinding in gorgeousness and squee.

You'd be surprised how much good fic there is....if you're willing to check out recommendations and check through avatar_fans instead of fanfiction.net; because frankly, 80%+ of that site [specifically in the Avatar section, though probably in all sections] is BAD fics.

And there are PLENTY of amazing G-T rated fics/drabbles out there.

You just have to be willing to wade through some of the not so great ones.
