37) Sure, he died alone, but at least it was a quiet, semi-dignified death, unlike the 45 seconds of pure sniveling terror that preceded his death in the manga. It disappointed me that Light didn't die on his feet, sneering down at powerless, ambitionless mortals that were about to gun him down. (Though how he managed to survive five bullets to the chest, get up, and run off is beyond me. I really just wanted him to die on the floor right there.) But I'll take the anime death over the pathetic manga death any day.

46) Ralph Fiennes is a bag of sexy. Nazi uniforms are also damn sexy. If this makes me a bad person, I don't want to be right.

19. I call shenanigans! Shenanigans and a huge double standard. People were writing Harry Potter porn way before we were writing Avatar smut, and they started at Hogwarts when they were eleven. And don't make me link to some of the crazy scary porn that I've seen in HP fandom. You can't un-see that shit. (Not that Avatar fandom doesn't have it's share of wtf porn)

And really, the only ones who look/act that young by Book Three are Aang (and maybe Toph, but that's pretty debatable). Aang looked older when he had hair. By now Katara really doesn't look fourteen (at least to me), and since she's the fandom bicycle and pretty likely to show up in smut, maybe that will ease your mind.

And if you think fourteen year olds aren't messing around, I wonder what your junior high years were like. I'm starting to think I had more fun in junior high than I should have. At least, that's what I think whenever people start wanking about smut in Avatar.

4. I'm having the same quandary myself, actually, and I wish I knew what to suggest, but I'd urge you to post the IC work as well. It sounds like you had a largely positive impact, whether or not you chose to identify yourself. Having fun while creating something is more important than it sounds. It can get you into habits, don't ya know.

But in all seriousness, Sondheim may not be the greatest composer/lyricist ever, or maybe he his—but that's something left up to taste and personal preference.

If you know anything about music or musical theatre then you know that Sondheim has done some amazing and revolutionary things for the genre. It's fine if you don't personally like Sondheim's body of work, but to belittle him only shows your ignorance, the man is legendary and talented, and his shows are classics.

I personally can't stand almost all of Rodgers & Hammerstein's catalogue as I think their shows are inhearently flawed (which is the same thing I think about every CLAMP series btw) but I can still recognise their artistic genius even if they don't suit my tastes (same thing goes for CLAMP).

And it having a fandom makes way more sense to people outside of the intrawebs than whatever animu or flavour of the year TV show you're into. People from school would think it way more normal if I was a freak for some composer than my "Japanese cartoons".

33. Ha ha ha. Yes! I had someone tell me that even though they only read on volume of the manga ( when 14 were out. ), she read enough fanfics and fanfic rants to have a grip on the characters. . .

33. My first fandoms were like that. I had no idea that fanfic, fanart, and doujinshi existed. When I did, I was really REALLY shocked and angry. Then, I started to see the rationale behind it. However, I agree with you in that people should read/watch the original series first before diving into fandom.
