3. Aw man, I like Klingons. XD BUT, Cardassians and Romulans are awesome too...geez, I just love Trek aliens of all kinds. XD;;

15. LEGAIA♥ I used to pretend I was Noa, I loved her so much.

18. You know, I've always been squicked by RPS too, but...I never even thought about having it written about me. Buh. D: I'm sorry.

22. You mean people think he isn't? o.o

26. ...wow, it must suck to live up to your standards.

36. I've always wondered about the girls that claim to hate all female characters too...I mean, that's some deep-seated shit. On the other hand, it could just be because they project too much and are upset that they're not getting laid, therefore NO GIRLS EVAR can get laid. XD (Awesome selection of kickass girls there, too! ♥)

47. ...my god, that's a BRILLIANT idea. Someone should write that, I'd love to read it! :o Fuck Zoicite's real gender, he can be a princess! XD

51. THANK YOU.

T!B4. You know, I've never figured that out either. XD It's the most awkward piece of armor in the world.

So...it's like pedo day on F!S?

27: I agree with you on the series for the most part (because eeeeeee Ghost Hound :D ♥♥♥ And Baccano! too). But I'm all for spreading the word about them. If the "elitests" don't like them, that's their loss, but everyone should at least try the new ones. You never know, you might love them (even your friends).

30: NOT ALONE. My eyes!

Ack and 18. RPS has always squicked me out, but I've never actually considered someone finding RPS about themselves. That sucks.

26

[identity profile] grey-athena.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
I sincerely hope for your sake that you've actually played with these people to make such assumptions. Or if you actually got off your cowardly ass and RPed him yourself, you may see how different your characterization is from another player's.

I honestly would have overlooked this "secret" completely if you would have used a different tone in composing it. Rambling on like a weeaboo fangirl really doesn't do well for what little credibility you're clinging to, nor does blatantly and needlessly cutting into others just to make a statement that could've been written in no more than two lines. A normal person would have just posted the character's comment with the caption "This player rocks! They're so IC!" instead of going on a tl;dr rant. Then again, that would've made too much sense, and we certainly can't have that.

You did a great job on blurring out the username too, genius. I'm sure the mun really appreciates the batshit stupid adoration of a tactless fanbrat.

You're not alone. The only DGM character I dislike MORE than her is Lulubell.

Re: 21

(Anonymous) 2008-01-27 11:41 am (UTC)(link)
You don't even have anything to found a dislike for Lulubelle on.

TRY AGAIN LATER MISOGYNIST.

Um, that's not a still from the movie. That's a piece of (crappy) fan art.

And, sorry we inconvenienced you by talking about this great man's death. I hope that no one says anything as cruel when you die.

(P.S. All you other Heath fans out there: there is breaking news that he had a congenital heart defect which was exacerbated by his pneumonia. So don't let those twits who claim he was a druggie get under your skin.)

[identity profile] liltigre.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
34. Oh God, the funeral. I cried so very, very hard when I first saw that video- in a hotel in Tokyo. That's really what made the movie worth it for me- the last scene and the music. Still makes me well up.

35. Transformers Animated is so goddamn fugly that I can't sit down to watch it long enough to judge the characterization. It makes me want to spork out my eyes. >_

3: AGREED!
8: Heh. Your own personal super-man?
15: YES! Legaia was a hell of a lot better than FF, easily.
28: Because fangirls are a strange breed that like to twist things to their own pleasures?
37: The whole John/Cameron thing confuses me. Though that's probably down to my whole "they're like family" thing that comes from T2.
46: What the fuck? He cut his arm once to attract a vampire. That makes him a cutter? (I really hope this is a joke submission)

39. Lol, I like the pairing, but the pit... D:

51. THANK YOU. That secret about how they thought Franziska was less sexy because she looked ridiculous? Come on.

(Anonymous) 2008-01-27 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
21. I used to. But lately I've found her dull at best and frustrating at worst. In short, she's a walking cliché, and it annoys me. Yes, even more so than Allen is. Listing all my reasons would take a long time and you probably don't care to hear them all anyway, so. I just don't care for her.

55. I'm still not sure he's completely dead. In shows like these, they rarely are unless you saw them die and buried them afterwards. And even then, there's usually a chance they might return to life.

Re: 55

[identity profile] raven-scarlett.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no, his death was confirmed by... I think it was Bryan at Comic Con last year.

22 - I agree with you. He started off with the best intentions. ;-;
29 - I thought the same thing.
32 - The way you phrased this made me laugh so hard.
36 - I admit there are tons of female characters I can't stand, but to hate them all? That would be a bit ridiculous, indeed. (I have friends like that. ;-;)
39 - I can see how that would happen. xD
41 - I don't understand the Mario porn, either.
50 - The "I'm a fucking noob no justu" made me laugh harder than anything.

[identity profile] technobubblegum.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
22) S'okay, you're not alone. I actually started a long discussion in chat about whether Death Note could be considered an example of modern tragedy, once... XD

26) While my fellow DDD-ers are being a bit immature about this, I have to say if you don't like it, why are you reading it? ;) personally, I don't mind the Yunalesca thing because it's funny to read.

And at the end of the day- isn't having fun what RPing is about?

49. a guy I know cosplayed Sakura from Naruto, and he'd not a girl : )) (not to mention he was liek, the hawtest Sakura evarrr)

Woah, Many Responses Today:

[identity profile] raven-scarlett.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
6. Well it's hard NOT to like Toph. Besides, that whole "crush on fictional adolescents/kids = pedo" thing doesn't work too well with these save-the-world series... the kids are handling problems that IRL adults would even shy away from and when these kids fall and scrape their knees, they don't start crying, they stand up and kick ass. (Also, excellent shot of her. <3)

13. Wow, that's the first time someone outside my group of friends has shared that sentiment. Thank you. I know people think it's pretentious to say "____ did it wrong" when it's their own characters, but this is one of those few times I must disagree with that accusation, it never felt right to me either (and it has nothing to do with my dislike of Keiko, either, despite what some may think).

22. Oh no, he is a tragic character.

45. I'm not in the "I can't stand her" boat, but I don't really care for her for the reasons you've stated, she's just not a developed enough character for me to care. I like her in certain fanfiction because she's given depth that she just didn't have the opportunity to develop in her brief appearances. And as far as Tokka vs. Sukka is concerned, I think Toph would be all around better for Sokka anyway, those two have had time to actually build a bond that I think could survive even a short-lived romance; Suki and Sokka never really had much bonding time outside of guilt trip/overprotective!Sokka and a few make-outs.

I do, however, love Suki's design... I'm a sucker for heavy war paint.

47. I find it terribly amusing that I read this not even a full day after having this discussion with my roommate... How I actually liked him better as a woman. And your idea about "her" being the real moon princess intrigues me.

49. This secret gets a dab of love, <3.

55. Yeah... It still bums me out that he was offed JUST as I was beginning to actually really like him. Then again, I think that was the beauty of it all...

A lot of 'kids' that age in a world like that are probably married or close to it, too.

[identity profile] jessicamariek.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
58. Me too. Slash isn't even my thing, but damned if that shit wasn't blatantly obvious.

[identity profile] kristenell.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Of course Light is tragic. He is set up that way from the beginning.

That said, I don't find him sympathetic, and he sort of cut off from the very beginning, I mean he puts on act from the get go and manipulates them to his content.

While I don't like any outright diagnoses of any fictional character, particularly on something as complex as a personality disorder, Light doesn't feel empathy towards others. He doesn't, he is charismatic so that is why others follow him, but he doesn't necessarily care beyond how they can help him for his own gain, and he played it that way fromt he beginning.

I am not bashing the guy, I just don't think he is a saint. I find him fascinating, but at the end of the day he is definitely not a good guy.

[identity profile] geckophobe.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
38. Yes, Charlie Prince!!! He was excellent, and yes, probably the best part of that movie.

40. Oh, god, why is he so gorgeous and PS3s are so expensive?!?! You know, by all accounts the graphics, gameplay, innovation, et al. ARE spectacular. No harm in appreciating the hotness on top of all of those "legitimate" reasons for liking the game. Besides, they designed him that way on purpose, right?

(Anonymous) 2008-01-27 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
38. I agree, I agree, I agree, oh damn, do I agree.
Ahahaha. His walk, his voice, his look, everything was fucking hot.

22

[identity profile] speaky-bean.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
You are not crazy. You are 100% completely right. Light's downfall was partially as a result of his own pride, aka HUBRIS. This is the original definition of a tragedy. Now we just think of it as 'a sad thing', and a tragic figure is 'someone who had something sad happen to them.' Even then, it's still applicable, regardless of whether he deserved death or not. But he fits the original concept PERFECTLY.

You do realize that Neil Gaiman read the ending and approved it? And that he picked the screenwriters because he thought they would do a good job? I'm not saying you have to like the ending but jeez lighten up a bit.

[identity profile] kamina.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
51. ♥

[identity profile] goat-writer.livejournal.com 2008-01-27 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
13. I disagree. Yusuke had character development. People actually can mature between the ages of 14 and 18. But, more than that, Yusuke had literally just come off of a fighting binge. He was satiated, if only for a little while. That, and there was the added pull of Genkai's impending death.

However, I don't think that their relationship is going to be a particularly stable one. Unless Keiko can learn to live with Yusuke being a fightoholic, and Yusuke can learn to live with the fact that Keiko needs a little more security in her life. It makes me want to write a fanfic, but I already have way too many going on.

18. My sympathies. Not saying that people can't write it, but your experience is the main reason why it quicks me. I imagine it's like somebody showing you a sextape of your parents, only worse.

22. I agree with you. Judging from his behavior when he gives up the Death Note, he might have actually been an awesome guy if he had never been corrupted by power.

36. I LOVE YOU.
