43. Sansa is my favourite character too. The vitriol towards her is unbelievable, which is one of the reasons I avoid the forums - along with the implication that being a fan of Sansa and Arya is impossible or something. I love that GRRM didn't go the way of having the tomboy win out and make a fool of the feminine girl, because it shows you don't have to be masculine to be strong. It's really sad this had to be a secret.

I think one of the best things about ASOIAF is the different POVs which force you to see everything from everyone's POV, which makes it difficult to make any character completely a villain or a good person. Sansa's development as a character has been pretty awesome, and I hope it continues.

35: I haven't even watched the new series and, quite frankly, I intend to keep it that way. I, for some time now, have really disliked the way Transformers wind up being constantly recycled in retarded ways. Maybe it's just me being a nostalgia whore or whatever, but none of the later series, including the recent movie, have the charm of G1 at all. The G1 comics are pretty good as well, but despite the fact that the G1 series was just a commercial for the toys, there won't ever be anything that comes close to it for me.

And it's stupid that G1-only fans get labeled as "purists" or whatever else -- people like what they like. You can't help not liking the new show, you just don't like it. And, personally, I don't think you're alone. I think a lot of TF fans aren't wild about it. That said, I haven't been browsing message boards that much recently, so I'm totally out of the loop :(

51: I'll admit that there are certain PW characters that annoy me, and I'd go so far as to say that I dislike a certain number of them, but I really don't know how you can HATE one of those characters. They're all charming and amusing in their own way. You know how it is though, Fandom is srs biznizz.

15. Every time I read "_____ is better than Final Fantasy," I instead read "your mom is better than Final Fantasy."

Why does it matter if something is better than the FFs? It's not like quality and popularity have a 1-1 correlation. There's sci-fi better than Star Wars, there's fantasy better than Harry Potter. But does anyone really care? I don't get the pissing contest thing. Isn't it enough that your favourite is your favourite? Why do people feel such a need to assert that their favourite thing is better than someone else's favourite?

55. I wish they could have had a little better closure. =( I need confirmation for character deaths. I can believe that he's dead, but it would still be nice.

57. I couldn't stand Glinda in the original Wizard of OZ. I found her just so repulsive. She was perfect, and yet, completely useless. But Wicked's Glinda is so completely human that she breaks my heart. I found the ending of the musical to feel a little... rushed, though, overall. I don't blame it, just because of the changes they were trying to enact on the story of the book, but I get what you mean.

Of course he is a tragic character. Ryuk told him at the beginning of the story that he would write his name in his death note, that he wouldn't go to Heaven or Hell and that he would pay with the stress and the fear that only the owner of a death note could have.
And all of that happened. A character not escaping his destiny is the very definition of a tragedy.

But... for every awesome female character, it's like there are three useless ones :( But then again, there are plenty of useless male characters as well. It's just easier to attack girls because it's easier to be jealous of them/stereotype all girls as emotional and whiny.

57. Yeah... That's not even as OOC as it gets. But then, I'm a little too anal about the book to ever give the musical a second chance. What killed it for me was how they absolutely butchered Fiyero's character in the musical; they should have just made a completely new character to be him. Seriously, THAT wouldn't have grated me as bad as the character rape committed against him in the musical.

I know I'm going to get lectured for this again by a musical fan... but I just can't stand the musical.

In all seriousness, why not cosplay a male version of her? Her little pink dress could easily translate into a red tunic over pants. Her white top could become a t-shirt. Her cute shoes could become boots. Leave the hair, though, that would be cool. Don't be afraid! People who cosplay seem pretty accepting.

They'd have to be, its a kooky ol' thing, cosplay. Don't jump on me, I have one in the works :P

I think it's possible to understand Sansa's behaviour, her role in the plot, why she's made the mistakes she's made and be able to respect the way she's learning and growing through the tragedy that's surrounded her throughout the series - I think it's possible to understand all that and still dislike her. You can pity a character and still dislike them.

Although, as it happens, I do like Sansa. I just find her hideously frustrating at times. But then! Ice and Fire - it's difficult to find a character I don't by turns pity and/or hate. They're all so flawed, bless 'em. Sansa is but one of the dozens and dozens of excellently written, well-maintained characters in the series. Sometimes she's awesome, sometimes she's less than awesome.
