51 - ...You see, shit like this is the reason cosplay contests have become really fucking boring. =\ This is also part of the reason cosplayers have such batshit reputations--when you start bending the rules of what's acceptable depending on what you're wearing?

Really, that's quite weird. If you wouldn't cross that line in your regular clothes, why do it when you're in a costume? No, you can't tell me because it's in character either...it's NOT. There is no way that was ever going to happen in a Disney game. I'm sorry, but no.

On the flipside, I really wonder...why is it that two girls dressed as guys to do yaoi shots is popular, yet two girls cosplaying as female characters doing yuri shots get SIGNIFICANTLY less participating members?

But I digress...

4. He was the genie. The animators on the DVD commentary admitted the original ending sequence revealed it. But since the audience was already applauding when Aladdin and Jasmine were flying on the carpet they just cut it out.

Urusei Yatsura is my favorite anime ever. :D

What makes me sad is that Rumiko hates the anime version. Maybe she's just jealous that it's actually significantly better than her original comics?

Maybe I should watch the anime version then, because I didn't like the comics that much. (They were OK and the characters were fun, but I wouldn't call them better than Inu-Yasha... well, not better than early Inu-Yasha, anyway.)

So far my favorite of hers is probably Ranma 1/2.

No, actually it doesn't. The Japanese language also depends on English for such things as "to check", "to monitor", "humour" and all kinds of other things that one would think a language would need.

I don't think I'll ever understand it, and I don't think I'll ever stop boggling at katakana words.

What? Of course it does! It's "otanjoobi omedetoo gozaimasu". They have words for all that other stuff as well (several for each, actually), but they also have loanwords from English, that give them slightly different connotations.

And loanwords aren't engrish.
