6. I really, really dislike Godot, actually. XD I don't really know what it is, but I just found him extremely irritating nearly all of the time. XD And I felt sorry for her too! Not that she wasn't evil incarnate, but I did feel sorry for her.

Of course the strangest thing about me disliking Godot is that I really like Diego. o_o; I don't even know how that works, but there you go. :D:

29- Don't get me wrong, I love Urusei Yatsura (manga) to a degree that is truly stupid. However, unless you're comparing it to the current chapters of InuYasha (*shudder*) I don't agree it's better. InuYasha is actually REALLY good throughout the first about forty volumes. Both IY and UY have uber crappy anime adaptations though, imho. That aside, the two aren't even comparable genre wise. Although I guess it's a fair argument to say that UY is better because it stays consistently good throughout the entire series (which is blessedly much shorter than IY), whereas IY trickles down in quality (and then the trickle turned into a flood the past year or two).

Really though, it's Ranma 1/2 that I find to be stupendously overrated. I do like the manga a lot, but it is sort of a poor man's Urusei Yatsura. She reuses a ton of concepts in it, and they just aren't quite as funny. Plus, even pervy Ataru comes across a more endearing lead than the oft-obnoxious Ranma. UY is better in every way imho, but most Ranma 1/2 fans won't even give it a chance. Or if they do, they read the admittedly unpolished first few chapters and give up.

Takahashi reuses a lot of concepts in a lot of places.

but I completely agree that Inu-Yasha was a very good series before the recent... changes. I stopped reading it awhile ago, and- won't even get started on the anime, but Ranma 1/2 was shoved down my throat first and honestly I learned to love it. Although I was mostly into it for characters that weren't Ranma.

10. I... really have to say that I agree that the mods should have closed it a while back. Nostalgia is great and all, but when doing an activity check would give half the game (including a mod) strikes, it's probably time to put things to rest.

56. Brokeback Mountain is so overrated, and it bored me to tears. However, I loved A Knight's Tale growing up, and probably still would if I saw it today.

In short: I disagree.

However, I do agree on the lack of caring thing. I felt bad, abstractly in the sort of way you feel bad when a stranger dies on the news. I felt much worse for the woman who died at her own wedding recently, and her husband.

So... I agree with that aspect.

Was he really cosplaying? They sell/sold that jacket at Hot Topic. Really, I feel bad for anyone that buys cosplay material unsuspectingly because it's sold there and looks cool.
There are some parts of anime character outfits I'd wear every day except for the worry that PEOPLE WOULD ASSUME why I'm wearing it.

1. The thing is, the OPs like that have more of a problem than F!S can help them with. They have to decide for themselves whether to hang around with a group of people who are so shallow to reject them over such inconsequential things or put out the effort to be around people less shallow and perhaps 'less cool.'

Or the OPs could be engaging in gross exaggeration. I think at least a little of the latter is involved.

1. Yeah, that would make the world a better place. I don't like when I find a fandom friend, think they're cool, then make an offhand comment only to be met with "OMG THAT PAIRING/OPINION/PREFERENCE IS EVIL." I don't like stepping on eggshells around people. :(

58. I wish I still felt that way. I don't like it anymore :( I like what it used to make me feel, but somewhere along the way, either via fandom, or the stupidly long hiatus, I lost it. I still write my ongoing fics but I've lost interest in the ongoing canon. :/

7. I know how you feel. I did a fic ages ago with a minor X-men character and someone started writing a (not very good) fic where they used almost all of the same backstory that I'd given the character (where he was raised, first time he killed a guy, etc). I know my things weren't brilliant, but I'd been really pleased with what I'd added, and I felt really...robbed.

56. I like them. I haven't even seen BBM (I will one day, I'm sure), just because I don't usually watch the big, emotional, relationship movies. A Knights Tale and 10 Things are just fun, happy movies. A little silly, a little wacky. AKT has a bunch of actors I absolutely love in it. 10Things is just well written and fun. I like 'em. I liked him in them.

No, I'm pretty sure the third movie didn't end that way...I remember him (the merchant) flying up and trying to sell Aladdin and Jasmine some wedding gifts of some sort, but I think the Genie was off doing something else in that scene. I'm not 100% sure, though.
