52. I dunno. I really like the series, but I think my original enthusiasm dwindled down considerably over the years. I did read it all, and enjoyed it, but I do think it is slightly overrated, or at least Johann is. Not sure why, but I have a weird feeling that it could have been better. It always confuses me when I see people who love this series vehemently and put down everyone who doesn't.

I love the series and I do think it's by far one of the better manga I've read, but something about the ending struck me as off. I have no idea what it was, except that I agree it could have been better.

He was probably a good guy, but, jeez, so many more important people die that go entirely unnoticed every day.

Aah, a ship after my own heart. I love this pairing too, but I'm just as picky as you are when it comes to how it is portrayed. As far as I can tell, the majority of fic out there either has Sakura as a sex-goddess and Kakashi as a complete perv, or it has Sakura as a blushing!virgin with a borderline-rapist!Kakashi. But, worry not, there are some really awesome, IC, well-developed fics out there. My biggest recommendations would by these authors on FF.net:

2. I got sad at that too. I didn't get sad at L because I thought he was faking being dead. (Seriously, I thought Yagami Soichiro was in on it and L was coming back. I couldn't believe Light got the better of him. When I found out I was wrong, well, then I was kind of bummed.)
