I was at a rather low point in my life, morale-wise, and something just resonated. I think it's more the ideals than the actual game- the strength of friendship, the strength of heart, the strength of light, things like that. It was just seeing them embodied in such a (in my opinion since I know most people consider the KH games overrated) beautiful and easy way that just...touched me for some reason. I just think it's a beautiful, pure concept. Kind of childish I suppose. But thank you for asking. :)

Personally, I happen to like both Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes.

I don't see any problem with liking them both.

And I do think that Calvin and Hobbes is better than Garfield.

28. Whoa, never thought I'd see a NTWF secret! Do you remember a "Kuro"? :O (I wouldn't be too surprised if you didn't, I wasn't all that popular or anything.)
But yeah, actually, I'm in the exact same boat as you, even the part about liking slash. If it helps, I still know a few people who went to the NTWF, and they don't really mind it or anything (some of them even like it themselves, heh), and not to mention that I always saw the NTWF as being pretty accepting about that sort of thing, but I dunno, and... man, I'm not wording any of this very well at all. Agh.

26. I'm a very big dub advocate. It's true that there are a few dubs that really aren't as stellar but because of how much I've at least dabbled in the dubbing world (Actually speaking to the VA's, hi there I'm from Houston where Free Anime Nights on Tuesday = MANY AWESOME WINS /didn't just pimp wtf) I seriously don't think that just because they dub it means that it's the worst thing in the world. Now, the GRAVITATION DUB imho was like scratching nails on a chalkboard. Aiie. D8

I totally think that Lucky Star dub is awesome. True that Kagami's voice seemed a LITTLE off to me? But seriously, no dub will be perfect and the fact that they all sound so GOSH DARN CUTE AND AWESOME makes me want to buy the DVD's as they come out. .. when I have money. .. for srs. u_u b

49. The Haibane Renmei soundtrack is so freaking beautiful. I also like the Princess Tutu OST along with Mahoromatic, NOIR/MADLAX and FMP.... seriously. While I do prefer the j-pop music, the BGMS and not-so-j-pop-stuff are awesome.

51. They work so well with each other. D: Seriously. FMP, Princess Tutu. Those two series are the biggest reasons why I love Luci Christian and Chris Patton so much... not to mention they're real sweethearts. :c ♥

FMP and Tutu is what made me ship them, yep. XD;;;; They work so WELL together...they have actual chemistry between the two even when they're recorded separately! I don't know how they do it, but it's freaking amazing.

38. Well, to be fair, Final Fantasy and Kingdom hearts are considered overrated by some, too. (But yes, I agree that Chrono Trigger isn't the best game ever. It is a wonderful game, but it's not the end-all be-all of videogames.)

I have to say, though, I agree with 56, a bit. Not the "I laugh at Garfeild fans" bit (which I don't know for sure, but I doubt the poster meant that to be that offensive, anyway), but I have never liked a comic strip as much as I adore Calvin and Hobbes. I have all the books and everything. Those two are my heroes. :)

3. It's an odd sort of humor that won't be to everyone's taste. Actually, I found Spamalot (the musical) a lot funnier than Holy Grail. Maybe some years later you'll be able to enjoy it a little without the backlash reaction because your friends think it's the Best Thing Evar.

6. You have the right to dislike it, though I think at least the first book deserves some credit as heartwarming kid-lit. But I once wrote High School Musical fanfiction, so I kind of know where you're coming from on the hypocrisy front.

37. Can I ask why? I mean, I can think of reasons. Do you hate the "niceness," or think it's fake? Are you annoyed that P/E overruns the fandom? Is there fanon that grates on your nerves? Is it the Court Records forums? Is it mischaracterization of GS4 Nick? Is it something else entirely?

Personally, I think the niceness is mostly sincere, and even though P/E isn't exactly my thing (I think it's kind of boring) there's quite a bit of other stuff around, too. I can't think of any pervading fanon offhand, though it might be there. There are several people on the forums I'd like to punch, but I restrain myself. Haven't played GS4 yet, but I imagine once more of the fandom has Phoenix's characterization will get better. What else?

38. Obvious troll is obvious. Also, I'm in the middle of playing Earthbound for the very first time, and I love it to pieces.

26. I just looked up the trailer and me and my friends thought the voices were pretty decent. I mean... the whole show is a bunch of non-connected conversations, I really don't think you can make it more exciting. XD; I dunno? basically IAWTC and I might actually get the Lucky Star DVDs cuz I loathe subtitles.
