Wait, the j-pop is what most of them are referring to in the context of anime music? You know, as opposed to the stuff that's the playing for the majority of the show? Good lord. For future reference, I request that everyone refer to songs by artist, thus preventing confusion between composers and various j-pop openings/endings.

And yes, the Haibane Renmei soundtrack is excellent, as is pretty much anything Kow Otani's touched. Check out the Wander and the Colossus OST, or anything Yoko Kanno's done (Escaflowne, Arjuna, Turn-A Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Macross Plus, GitS:SAC...).

3. As a diehard Monty Python fan, I say don't be so hard on yourself. There are so many different styles of humor out there. Yours is simply different from your MP-fan friends. And there is not a thing wrong with that.

I understand how you feel though. Personally, I never got Friends. Oh, they were cute and charming but laugh out loud funny? Nope. I had a friend who would make me watch an episode or two whenever I went to her place. I fell asleep most of the time.

6. I can understand this a bit. Perhaps without even realizing it, you are spending so much time on the fanfiction because you are trying to fix everything you hate about the novel. I mean, I have to agree with you about how her characters can be a bit flat. Sirius was in the worst prison in the world for over a decade and Rowling had him bouncing back like it was nothing. That irked me so much. He should have been shell shocked or something of the like. But again, no.

41. That's what they look like? A pair of kids? I don't know why but in my mind underneath their masks I had them looking like a couple of high class gentlemen with well kept moustaches and slicked back Jazz Age hair. Bah. What a let down.

3. Yeah, I agree. It's all a matter of taste. I love Python, but some people don't.

(I tend to not tell people that I actually think Spaceballs only had a couple of funny lines in the whole movie. Mel Brooks in general, I love, but that movie... no.)
