21- Anime here is not overpriced. Compared to what you'd be paying in Japan, it's a steal.

65- ...Tons of Rose fans like Martha and you can multi-ship. Many people do. I like Martha and I don't ship Ten/Martha (Martha's character arc with the Doctor was about coming to grips with unrequited love, and her running back to him demeans that for me), but I don't care if someone does.

27. Okay, tl;dr.

Do we need more (developed, interesting, intelligent, competent, not-comic-relief) fat characters? Yes, definitely. It's well past time for the media to recognise that the vast majority of people don't have a BMI of less than 20. Anime definitely needs a greater variety of body sizes, and not just in token side characters who we're supposed to feel sort of sorry for.

On the other hand, even if fat people were well-represented in anime, fat people would still want to cosplay thin characters, because resemblance isn't the only thing cosplayers consider when they choose. Anyway, there are always limits on how much a real live person can resemble a cartoon character.

And speaking as a fat person, I am sick of the way we're expected to consider the delicate sensibilities of people who HATE US before we do anything. Fuck that. The girl in your secret looks like she's confident and enjoying herself, and that should be what matters.

Granted, as long as you don't write fanfiction for her Liquor series she won't get on your tail about it, since the only characters she's still working with right now are Rickey and G-man. Hey, 18? Question from the peanut gallery.

I only watch two TV shows. Both of them are on network TV. Both of them come on at the exact same time.

Please suggest to me how exactly I'm supposed to just "watch them on TV" when I only have one TV. If your suggestion is "record one" (which is also a no-go as my VCR is no bueno por caca and I don't watch enough TV to justify paying for cable and whatever recording whackuses they have now or a Tivo or any of that other bullshit) then please explain to me how downloading one of them via BitTorrent is any different than taping it and fast-forwarding past the commercials.

Other than the fact that TV stations have permission to broadcast it, the fact that the creators of the show actually make money of the broadcast, all the legal issues, and the fact that taped a show doesn't usually end up being shared all over the place, unlike BitTorrent, and thus, people don't use it as a replacement for legitimate releases... Yep, totally the same thing.
