i kind of agree with this. i mean, uhhh, like... i love this rp a lot but i'm afraid things are going to get worse now that there's no radio. what will there be to do at nightshift? half the population going into the basement every night is gonna be kinda stupid...

i have faith in the mods, and i know they think things over before they do things. so i'm hoping that there'll be a way to bring it back.

Yeah, I adore the RP too, I've been lurking on it... for, what, almost and a half now? :O

I'm fine with the removal of a major "gameplay" element (because at least the basement has people mocking the whole concept constantly) as long as it's done with care and patiently, but that thread was just frustrating.

13: This is a particularly interesting one for me, as a rather religious person who's involved in a few fandoms. Every time I think of letting the two cross over, I think about Bible slash. And the countless arguments I've had with "militant atheists." I swear that Dawkins' popularity is the worst thing to happen to both atheism and Christianity recently, but I'm not going to go there for now.

Anyway, I greatly enjoyed reading the secret. :)

56: Oh man. Oh man. I feel so bad for you, you don't even know. I've had similar things happen to me before, and your course of action was probably the best to take. While many normal players do exist out there, there are an overwhelming amount of people who will try to rope others into roleplaying for the sole purpose of writing smut scenes with them. A lot of times they're courteous enough to mention this right off the bat, but not always. It's really unfortunate that your first and probably only experience with any type of roleplay would turn out to be a terrible one.

18- I feel really sorry for you. D= I hope someday you can get back on your feet.

21- It depends on how it's done. If we somehow got a mass flood of people buying the legitimate releases of anime, and then everyone went (and even though I personally that an attitude change by the fans is more in order than a revolution within the industry, but I digress) "Ok, we bought your releases, and gave you your money. However, we ain't happy. So, fix yourselves otherwise, IT'S BOYCOTT TIME BITCHES!" then, you would be on to something.

Likewise, a massive flood of people becoming vegetarians would cause major damage on the meat market.

And in case someone asks how would a boycott after a massive purchase of legitimate stuff be any different from what we have now: Right now a lot of people download instead of buying their stuff, never becoming customers of the anime industry. So, the anime industry probably operates with that in mind. However, if there was a massive flood of people buying, they'd operate with the knowledge that there'd be a lot of people buying their stuff. By boycotting after that, you'd be causing them to lose money from the investment. And quite honestly, no longer being a client sends a more powerful message than never becoming one in the first place.

I fucking HATE people who generalize but I am probably just being sensitive.

I'm lazy. It's easier to tell my friend I fucking HATE WoW because it taking her away from the real world than it is to say I "fucking HATE" her for being so stupid to mess up her priorities and to put a computer game before work and life in general.

I would be a whole different level of a bitch if I were to tell my friend "I hate how much you are involved in your fandom." Saying I just hate her fandom makes her see it a little differently.

I don't actually hate the game itself. I have other friends who play WoW and are at least smart about it. They will talk about it with me and I don't have a problem.

As far as enabling her? Well. I am not her mother and father who shell out $400 a month to pay for her rent and other expenses so she can stay at home and play WoW. I am not the person she is stealing internet from to play WoW. What more can I do?

I've tried talking to her. Different ways. Snapped at her the last time. Nothing works. So yes, while I am around her and if she brings up that game. . ."I fucking hate WoW."
