13 - I'm not sure if this will make you feel better of worse. See, I'm a history nerd and also an atheist. But I totally agree with you in the sense that Christianism makes sense when viewed as a fandom. I also happen to think that both the bible and the recently discovered apocrypha are actually very interesting books, and said a loud out WORD when you mentioned Constantine. I don't share your faith, though D: But at least I'm part of fandom and don't make fun of you?

21 - ...I didn't like your analogy at all. I'm a vegetarian, and I clearly know that I alone as an individual wont' close the meat industry, however, since I stopped eating meat at least I'm not taking part of the crime. I'm not sure that could be compare to buying expensive manga to fix anime industry. In that case, you're taking part of the market as income- not leaving it. Vegetarians don't represent damage to meat industry, but for anime industry every penny represents income. (TL;DR 8D)

13. Oh gosh, I agree so much. Being a practicing Mormon and also fairly active in fandom... I really would like to talk more about my faith with people I'm friends with in fandom, but most of them are agnostic or atheists so... what times religion has even come up, it's been uncomfortable for both of us. And even on my LJ posts I lock and cut my posts about religion just to keep other people from feeling uncomfortable. And... yeah.

25.) Art is art! It doesn't matter if you prefer drawing realism or fantasy. Drawing anime is akin to being an animator or cartoonist. It's an art style, and a very popular/respected type. It's a style of art, and as such, it should be respected. I may not like some styles because they're not my flavor, but that doesn't mean I think they're inferior. The people who insist anime/cartoon style is the only, best art form are idiots. So if you're refering to those people, I'd understand. And some people find their art talents lie solely in cartoons - not everyone can draw like da Vinci.

27.) I'm going with jesscheaux's answer. Most anime girls are like, anorexic, lol, and while it would be nice to see some diversity in the genre, doesn't mean overweight people should only cosplay overweight people. That's kinda like putting people in a corner, don't you think?

I agree with you regarding cosplay is for everyone. And at times, it's a little embarrassing to see overweight cosplayers in very skimpy outfits... BUT, if you're comfortable in your own skin, do it. Just know that people can be really cruel about this and, well, this is secret is a semi-obvious example. Make sure you can handle it, even if it's really something stupid.

BTW, in b4 shit storm, I'm a fattie who's cosplayed before kthx.

but i agree, obviously, this stuff is insane. And it makes me worry about the poster(s?).

I can't decide if it's one poster or many and if it's someone in her close circle or not, I am leaning towards not. I'm thinking it's someone trying to just be mean and drive a wedge. But who knows. Crazy stuff makes you think crazy things, and makes you paranoid.
