Agh, Alex's letters in the book had me all weepy-eyed for the rest of the day. I typed up about half of them just so I could read them whenever I wanted. And I loved the bejeezus out of the movie too. So lovely, no boring imagined Trachimbrod history (some of the passages were lovely, but Jonathan's sexually active, 10 yr old, dead-armed grandfather? DO NOT WANT!).
Eugene Hutz is indeed fucking awesome. :D

44. Have you read the book? If not, then reading it might help clarify, but... I'll admit it still seems really silly to me too. I think they did it wrong.

58. Yeeessss. The serious went seriously downhill after Jack got promoted. I loved Carter as a supporting character. Once she was the lead, it was just too much, and I missed Jack terribly. Especially with the wtf that was their relationship's ending? I mean what? I think I missed something because it was building, building, building, and then BOOM, IT WAS GONE.

77. Honestly, I could have gone either way, but I really liked how the movie ended. Switcheroos are cliche and overused, but everything about the movie was supposed to be cliche and overused. Especially the cell phone bit. That made me giggle, and Nancy really made a cute cartoon XD

It is the most awkward, sweet pairing ever. They are both so adorable. In the movie, at least. Book!Jonathan was a bit of a jerk, but Alex was even sweeter.

21. That's also the main reason I never joined the SG1 fandom... I love them both so much and it depresses me how bitchy everyone has to be about one or the other. And the arguement is so old too... ever since the 6th season first came out. Tis sad.

66. Yes... I too hated the show for a looooooooong time. Then, about two weeks ago I watched one of the Season 11 eps... and now I'm hopelessly addicted. I gotta say... all the fandom shipping is what convinced me to watch the episode in the first place. Guh, I'm such a fandom hor.

75. I used to think that too. While the bishounen/anime art still ruffles me the wrong way, I must say that the South Park fandom is honestly one of the best fandoms I’ve been in in years. Sure, sometimes I think the ‘shippers take it WAY too seriously for SP being what it is, but ‘shipping all in good fun in a blast in this fandom because anything goes for the most part.

Also, 64: I know how you feel. Most of the characters I play, nobody's even heard of. Sure, you get the odd person that says "Oh, well, you look interesting!" but on the whole, people play within their fandoms. Which I totally understand -- it's easier and safer etc etc, but it's hard when you're playing a character from a game that never even made it across the sea... ^^'

I hate having to be "nice" in reviews, because in RL critiques, we often rip each other to shreds. But nicely. I don't know why I don't critique more honestly in fic, but if you want more sincer comments, maybe say so in the AN? (And pop me a link, maybe? If I know, I'll be more sincere, promise.)


10. Yeah. Caine's Alfred was totally sexier than Batman. But then, I don't think it matters who plays him, I'll never find batman sexy. Ridiculously cool, yes. But never sexy.


13. Aw. See, I like the RomanaII/Doctor relationship a lot, even though I've only seen a few clips of them (but darn it, the chemistry just leaps off the screen), but I stand by the whole "doesn't have to be just one." Seriously, he's 900+ years old (oh Doctor, stop lying about your age alread. It's like "turning 39 again!"). I think Romana was absolutely the right one for him at the time, but I figure the relationship played its course for them. Rose was the right one for Nine.
But bless, they are so adorable. Scarf-sharing FTW.


22. I think I know who you are. It's a guess, but I'm going by the chips (and the rest of the evidence offered). If you're who I think you are, then I'm someone else who absolutely loves your comic--I think it's pure genius, and its inspired me to dig deeper into the whole fandom. I'm so glad you're doing it, and I'm so sorry you're feeling the way you are now. I don't have anything helpful to say, but I hope you feel better about it.
