22. I know how you feel. I love it when people like my fic. (I don't write well-known epics and I'm more than fine with that, but I like good comments just like anyone else does.) But I keep feeling like I wish I could write ambitious originals or something or at least have more of a life. (I do have a job, but not a "career" at this point.) But I love fandom; it's not that I look down on what I do in fandom either.

I can see why people ship in the series though. There was a mini arc not to long ago, that featured Cartman trying to get Kyle to give him a blow job. XD Makes me really wonder if Matt and Trey lurk in the fandom.

26. They probably don't look like that in normal life, so it's not really a direct threat to their privacy. That's the risk of posting pictures on the internet; anyone can use them.

26 - just because cosplayers share their work with fandom doesn't mean that they give you permission to use it in any way you want without permission. I understand we're taking a risk, but at least on Livejournal, where people generally have at least half a brain, a sense of propriety regarding personal identity could be observed.

There are a lot of good cosplayers out there who don't mind if you use their image in an icon or a sig. It's common courtesy to say to their face that their cosplay is good and could they please use it. If they're Japanese, it's not impossible to just run it through a translator or something and email them. The grammar will be scrambled the message usually gets across.

Assuming we look different in normal life is not an excuse to make graphics without our permission. We don't mind if you save our images to your computer. Just don't mess with them and let people use them to represent themselves.

77. Way to, oh, I don't know, MISS THE POINT OF THE ENTIRE STORY? Edward was a shallow idiot who didn't care who Giselle really was so long as he got a happily-ever-after with a beautiful princess! He couldn't even talk about anything! And I don't think Nancy flipping for him at the end was realistic, but at least one woman got to learn how dumb he was. If you want the fairy tale to go the way it's supposed to, don't KNOWINGLY WATCH A SUBVERSION.

Iiii should have specified that the secret is not only directed at the English fandom. Which is pretty stupid, considering that this is F!S on lj for, well, English fandoms, but I wanted to get it out anyway. .__. He's mindlessly bashed a lot in the Japanese fandom, and I don't really see any concrete reasons for it.

I agree with your comment! And lately it seems that more writers are latching onto the Millefiore for fic ideas (esp. with all the 10069 fics). It'll take time, after all, for fans to warm up to the "villains". It's also inevitable that the Vongola gang will always be more loved (and I have no problem with that either ♥)

54. When I was little, I wanted to be an Archaeologist because of him. I never got past wishing, but he really is a wonderful character. :)

58. They will always be SG-1 and I think the writers acknowledge it too in the way that O'Neill never really included Mitchell or Vala when he popped in, in episode 200. (Random reference, lol)

64. It's hard talking Marvel fandom with people who don't read the comics, period, because they only go off of cartoonverse and movieverse. The fact that you can mention Emma Frost on a comic community and get many responses, it kills me that many people claiming to be in the fandom, who don't read the comics have any idea who she is. BAWWWWW.

64. Hey, that's not true. :[ More than half the characters my character is friends with are from fandoms I know absolutely nothing about! In fact, a lot of the time, their characters are so interesting that they make me want to explore new avenues of entertainment. I can't say my character talks to EVERYONE, of course; basically, if their intro post contains something that piques his interest, he'll reply. If not... he won't.

There have been many characters I'm familiar with that (as a fan) I would love for him to get to know, but the same thing applies--if I don't think there's anything in their intro post that would interest him, he won't reply. I know many others who do the same.

At any rate, I'm not picking on you... I'm just letting you know that there are people out there who would RP with your character regardless of how popular they are. Trufax!
