1. I used to feel the same way about Lisa, at least when she's not being overly bossy. It helps that she's basically the mouthpiece of the writers.

10. Michael Cain is awesome, and coming from a lesbian that means something. XD

24. There's truth in that, but it just means that the good series have a smaller, more devoted group of fans as a result. :3 (BTW, try Mononoke if you haven't already. I'll rock your socks)

70. Don't you just love it when that happens? Yeah. Been there (but not with Aoi).

I'm finally reading the book and I totally agree. Plus, I now realize how old the female cast was, considering the real age of the characters.

Ugh, I'm so sick of these Sylar posts, and I LIKE Sylar! It's the same person everytime; she's not even attempting to mix it up a little for the sake of variety. WE GET IT.

45. Ahhahaha, that's wonderful! That movie gave me a serious phobia about covered bridges, which is unfortunate since I live in New England. Oops.

58. I stopped watching when they left.

74. I love Psych! I don't always remember to watch it, but when I do, it's delightful.

[identity profile] gratuity.livejournal.com 2008-02-25 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
31. Okay, I liked THE PAINTED LADY better than I liked THE BEACH. SRSLY. THAT IS HOW MUCH I HATED THE EPIC FAIL OF THAT EPISODE.

77. I just hated Robert. There just wasn't anything fun or likable about him. Edward was sweet and doofy, but then it felt like the writers had to scramble to make Edward out to be shallow so they gave him some heartless/tactless lines. sldkfsd.

AND ENOUGH WITH THE SYLAR SECRETS MY GOD.

Honestly? I don't remember much from either episode (other than Katara really really pissing me off in the Painted Lady and me not being impressed by The Beach), I just like pretty girls in swimsuits. : )

26. I guess part of cosplaying IS attentionwhoring, but... yeah, IDK, I find it so odd. I always assume the cosplaying person is the person typing and then it's not and as;dlkhf S-SOB.

32, 51 AND I KNOW THERE'S ANOTHER ONE a;dskhf stfu already. XD;

36. I didn't think it was popular in the first place? THAT SAID- GOOD FOR YOU. XD; I like it but w/e.

44. Oh God, I couldn't agree more. I lol'd. XD; I KNOW I KNOW NO RESPECT FOR CULTURAL DIFFERENCES BUT Ahaha.

48. I ship it too, b-but... canon? Why? XD;

57. Wait, Shouichi is bashed? SINCE WHEN. XD; I DID NOT KNOW THIS A-and yes Byakuran/Shouichi ♥ ♥

73. As sad as it is, I know how that feels sometimes. xD;

re: 36

(Anonymous) 2008-02-26 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Is it not? I assumed that since a lot of my friends ship it (which is why it's a secret) that it's fairly popular within the fandom, but I guess not?

13. ...I ship Doctor/Romana, too, and think they were lovely and perfect together, but I don't quite understand this perception that there's a "one" for him. A "many" maybe.

If I have to be pinned down to a "one", then I ship Doctor/Susan's Granny, because clearly he never loved anyone as much as he loved her. Whoever she was.

74. PSYCH LOVE. <3 And ee, you used a cap with my girl Karen! ♥

Sex would be really silent though :/

34: The Beaaaaaams ;_;

God, I loved Ray and Charles. The resolution of that plot just makes me want to BAWWWW.

The Things I'd like to do to Sylar secrets, revealed! Not gonna respond to them though.

53. Yehhh I should start doing that.

64. D: Well I'm apping a character in [livejournal.com profile] campfuckudie who is fairly obscure, and yet I got quite a number of responses for betas. That's sad though. People who are only willing to RP within big fandoms suck (icon related).

[identity profile] sarajayechan.livejournal.com 2008-02-25 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Lisa Simpson is made of win.

7. He does make a very convincing girl. >.> I'm a girl and I fapped to the Senshi when I was 16. Back then I still thought I was straight.

24. I'm only interested in Haruhi because of the ending video, and Geass fo the historical storyline.

On a completely unrelated note, if they ever made an anime version of Ethan Frome or All My Sons, I would SO hit that.

47. I LOL'd.

75. Ships = ftw, bishie art = PAIN.

[identity profile] klytaemnestra.livejournal.com 2008-02-25 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)

26. Eww ... people really do that?

68. Urgh ... you know I'm not even going to touch that one. John Hart was in my opinion the worst thing thrown into Torchwood and I really don't even care who ships who in TW. Spike in space. Do Not Want.

35

[identity profile] starsgleam.livejournal.com 2008-02-25 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I AGREE COMPLETELY. I have yet to bring myself to read the series because of the crazy fangirls. although Jacob Black intrigues the hell out of me tbh. Lol.

64: I don't care about multifandom RPGs, but I LOVED that issue (see icon!). Lots of people hate Chris Bachalo's art, and when it comes to storytelling I am totally with them (a lot of the time I can't figure out wtf he's trying to draw) but his whole-page or double page spreads are beautiful.

65: ...you know, I've been watching the whole series on DVD lately and they swapped the actresses around so much that I can't remember who the girl is... it's got to be either Bobbie Wickham or Stiffie Byng because none of the others would presume to put their feet in Bertie's lap like that... unless it's the lovely Miss Stoker? If it's Pauline, that might actually have a chance of working, although for most purposes I'm a die-hard J/W shipper...

Re: 64, 65

The girl is Angela, Bertie's cousin. That's why I called it a cracktastic pairing.

Sylar Secrets, 75

[identity profile] ketchupblood.livejournal.com 2008-02-25 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Sylar secrets: I just realized (YES I'M SLOW SHUT UP!) that you're the one who posted nine secrets in one post a few weeks ago, y/n?

75. I wouldn't say that I'm weeping for humanity, but it sure does wonder about humanity quite a bit.

10.

[identity profile] betise-mcmutton.livejournal.com 2008-02-25 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I read that as "But I would totally tap Alfred's cane." ...which probably doesn't stray far from the message you were trying to convey.

[identity profile] srsfnbsns.livejournal.com 2008-02-25 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
14. If the only reason you read the dictionary is because someone else is doing it...that's just made of fail. Most people read it to, I dunno, learn!

23. This crap AGAIN?! GTFO!

26. That is pretty damn creepy.

27. Come on! Hiruma's awesome!

75. That has always boggled my mind.

79. ....I know who you are. D=

[identity profile] tiffiny.livejournal.com 2008-02-26 02:02 am (UTC)(link)

23. Could you be any more cryptic? Considering this is the second secret you submit about him, and you still don't make any sense...

32, 43, 51: You're really annoying. How long is this going to continue?

... Heroes secrets aren't what they used to be, geez. x_x

[identity profile] hamburger.livejournal.com 2008-02-26 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
About 9 years ago, South Park was my major fandom. Around that time I was also really starting to get hardcore into anime. I got curious about what the fandom was like in Japan and eventually found one or two Japanese fan sites. I was so incredibly blown away by the idea of South Park characters in anime-style! They even shipped! Slashing SP characters wasn't my cup of tea so I didn't dig it that way, but it was still kind of amusing in its oddness. But a week or so later the site closed down without me getting to save any of the art. I tried to buy the doujin by the artist on the rare occasions it'd end up on eBay, but this was when I was still in high school and before I had a job so I just never had the high bid.

Now... it's a huge thing with the American fanbase and isn't so new and different. But just to let you know it's been going on in one form or another for muuuch longer than you may think.

Which... probably doesn't help at all. Sorry, us old people tend to go into long stories that don't have any po--

Re: 74

Yes! A Psych fandom does exist. It has a healthy Shawn/Lassiter following, a smattering of Shawn/Gus and a growing collection of Lassiter/Juliet supporters. I do not know about the status of Shawn/Juliet, but I am sure it has been doing fine without me. :D
